Feldmarschall 9 Report post Posted July 25, 2009 The team is in fine shape. They've got something to prove this year, so they'll play better and show up more focused. We all know that the Red Wings have the talent to win. This year their motivation should be back up a notch. Any lingering question marks on guys like Cleary and Flip as top-sixers will be resolved. The bottom six will be faster and grittier with the addition of some youth. If overall defensive play is up to par, the Wings can look forward to another extremely successful season. Cern 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2009 My biggest concern is our goaltending - I'm not sure Howard as a backup likely to see 30 or so games is going to turn out, even with our defense (assuming it gets back on track). I guess it's wait and see, maybe see what's avaliable for a trade before the deadline if it dosen't end up working out.
Guest ZetterbergFourty Report post Posted July 25, 2009 I remember Leino's out-of-mid-air goal, it was incredible. Very much looking forward to see what kind of numbers he can put up this coming season. Aswell as the likes of Helm, Ericsson, etc. Hope Kindl gets more than a handful of games in for the Red Wings aswell. Watched this guy in the OHL as a Ranger, fckin awesome d-man. Thanks to the thread starter, well done.
