Dinamo Minsk reached today an agreement on signing a contract with two NHL players Ville Peltonen and Ossi Väänänen.

During 2008-09 Peltonen (36) played in Florida Panthers and Väänänen (28) in Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks. Minks already had five Finns in their roster which makes the former NHL'ers transition easier.

They were both free agents. Otherwise there would probably be some noise already.

I think it's refreshing that NHL doesn't have a monopoly anymore. Who knows what happens in the future, but the league existed for decades without players from outside North America.
