Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) Goes both ways, Philly probably had lots of their AHL players too and they put 5 in our starter. I know it's preseason and I know it's only one game but for heaven's sakes 3 of them off of their AHL players: Pyorala, van Riemsdyk (2). Pyorala is definitely not an AHL player. He'll likely play the season on the 3rd and 4th lines and get a lot of PK time. He will be the Finnish player to watch next season along with Leino. MIKA PYORALA INTRODUCTION: Pyorala's career is very interesting. He has improved he's play little by little. First he played many seasons in his hometown club Karpat, growing from 4th line player to a top player. Made a big move in his career by signing with the Swedish Timra IK. Playing a defensive game still produced great numbers in the two seasons he was there. Became a solid player on an international level (will probably be in Vancouver too). Finally took the next step by moving into NHL and Philly. A late bloomer. Was never drafted. Perfect career so far IMO. Has made wise moves, not jumping from a one team to another all the time. By working hard has become closer to his full potential. Not overly big guy, but plays physical and wise game. Every coach's key player. Will become a good NHL level 2-way-forward. 2nd line potential but in Philly will probably play in the 3rd line most of the time. I'm still a Red Wings fan.
