I have to admit this is the least excited I have been for a Pistons season in quite some time. However, I think this team has some intrigue with so many new faces. I don't expect much more than a lower playoff spot again and a first round loss to one of the big three in the East.
So far, the Pistons looked brilliant in the first game, albeit against Memphis. The home opener at the Palace was brutal to watch against Oklahoma City. The offense was completely lost without Rip out there. Both Ben's have been the most impressive to me in the first two games. I really like Ben Gordon -- he can shoot the lights out and the Pistons now have a threat in the fourth quarter of close games. Big Ben still has something left. His interior defense has been very noticeable -- hopefully he doesn't wear down too much throughout the season. The Pistons have a bunch of question marks and rather obvious flaws. Despite that, I am looking forward to anything that doesn't resemble last year's disaster.
