Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Is there a big difference in how you pronounce Brad and Brett? I don't feel it. I'm a non-native speaker though... Brett ends in a higher tone compared to lower tone sounding brad... it's a noticeable difference.
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) I, for one, am excited about this "Brad Lebda". I mean, could he really be worse than the Lebda we already have? well, if he was the one playing last night... yes... and that says a LOT Edited November 24, 2009 by stevkrause

Guest Crymson Report post Posted November 24, 2009 listen, I know he sucks so bad that his name doesn't matter, but how the hell did the VS. broadcaster get away with calling him Brad Lebda even twice, let alone all the way through the first 2 periods without ANYONE in the crew correcting him? That broadcasting crew was horrendous last night (the game crew, not the panel back at the studio) Unfortunately, Rex Hudler was not available to do play-by-play last night. Sergei Federov was also absent. As such, VS was left with a sub-par PbP team. Mistakes happen.

Federov= Feh-durr-ov Fedorov=Feh-door-ov Just saying...while we're talking about Brad Lebda and Darren Meech, can we try and get rid of the Sergei Federovs? NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Not related to last night's game, but I've heard a lot of "Mark Rypien" too.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 I think in the 2nd they kept calling a Wings player Franzen. Not only that but they called him "Fraanzen" instead of "Frahnzen."

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 Almost as annoying as whoever keeps referring to Fil as Val Fil-pew-la.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 they were talking about Cody Franson http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/3952 Ah, that would be why. I've got better things to do than keep track of who is playing for the Preds, the least interesting team in the league next to Atlanta and Florida.

Scary... but I'm betting Phoenix doesn't make that list solely due to a court case.
