Since 1962:

Canada: 1 Olympic gold, 5 World Championship gold.

Czech Republic (not a country until 1993): 1 Olympic gold, 5 World Championship gold.

Underestimate this team at your own peril.

Not such a popular opinion in these parts even in the face of the facts -- but true, never the less. They love being the underdogs.

They do seem to have that ability.

But I think a lot of that success is on Hasek and Jagr, who at the time were two of the most dominant players in the game. Hasek won't be there, and Jagr isn't as good as he used to be.

Olympics = yes, both Hasek and Jagr.

Jagr only won one of those 5 World Champion titles. Hasek won none.
