zombi 43 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'm really getting tired of steaming out-of-market NHL games on my computer. I really want to watch them on my larger TVs. The problem is that I have AT&T UVerse. It appears that the only option with that provider is getting the NHL Network channel. But that channel is crap and rarely shows anything of worth. Is there any option for me? or am I screwed unless I switch to a different provider?
Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 Zombi, I use to have U-Verse and yes you'll have to switch providers. I HATED U-Verse because when I signed up the sales rep told me they had NHL Center Ice, so after they guy hooked everything up I Asked him what channel is CI and he said "I do think we offer that" he then went on to say that you probably got one of those salesmen that promise you things that we do not offer! Yeah, they suck for hockey and good luck cancelling, because it was a pain in the ass doing so!

U-Verse is complete crap and was one of the worst services I have ever had...

If you're living in MI and only watch Wings games all you really need is FSD(+) and Versus to see all the games. You don't even need NBC this season (except for the Stanley Cup Finals ). Satellite is always the better choice when it comes to getting the best coverage and quality with Center Ice. Edited December 29, 2010 by drumnj

EDIT: I do hate watching red wing hockey on versus though, but it is nice to catch the occasional big time matchup here. Well, the reason why I questioning the service is because I like to watch other teams play to keep up on what's going on around the league.
Ozzie30 170 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 Anyone have any experience with WOW? I switched from WOW to Comcast just before the playoffs last year so I would have HD throughout the playoffs. WOW's customer service is great, they just don't have the programming. At that time FSD, FSDHD, FSD+, and VS (HD requires $10 HD pack)were available - as well as Center Ice. A quick check of their site shows that both VS HD and FSN+HD are now available so I may be switching back, even though their ON Demmand sucks and they don't carry the NHL Network. Yzermania 156 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'm on Time Warner out here in So-Cal and I have Center Ice, VS and NHL-N. It's quite great.

The woman on the phone told me they have NHL Center Ice. Had it installed, found out they didn't a week later and had Time Warner installing the next day.
