FSD Plus

Ok I'm not here to bash the pistons, but this has been bothering me for a while now. I don't get FSD plus so I have to watch all the plus games on a crappy stream or at someone else's house. So it got me thinking, why would they put a non playoff pistons team on the fsd's main station instead of a perennial cup contending wings team. The wings should not have to be subject to fsd plus because they are simply the better team and in my opinion get better ratings than the pistons. So heres my challenge to all you pistons and wings fans, who gets better ratings?

I don't know, but it irritates me too, mainly because they don't have an HD channel (offered by Brighthouse at least).

I used to be a pretty big Pistons fan, but they're absolutely unwatchable. I don't know anyone who watches them anymore. Not to mention, the NBA is a complete joke now.

Pure speculation but I'm guessing the Red Wings get slightly better ratings right now on FSD. That's a credit to Wings fans and also the state of the Pistons. A few years back when the Pistons were very good, my guess would be the Pistons did. That being said, even though many us of here may not follow the NBA, it still blows away the NHL in ratings in most markets. Detroit is a pretty rare US exception where hockey is close or exceeds the popularity of the NBA team. The Pistons do have a following and I think it's cool FSD gives both fan bases the opportunity to see their teams when the games conflict.

yeah screw FSD+. I used to have it but not anymore and even when I did the quality was unbearable (non HD thanks to charter). I don't get to watch as many games as it is and when I finally do get an opportunity, it always seems its on FSD+ :ranting:

According to our local Brighthouse they will have standard and HD FSN+ as of March 15. Check it out and see if it's the same for you.

I would think that they try to do a fairly even split to get both team on regular FSN when these nights occur. Of course I am always mad when I try to find the game and it's not there, but as long as I can see it somewhere I'm happy.

this is what i found on FSD "The Pistons and Red Wings play on the same night approximately 40 times this season. Because FOX Sports Detroit Plus exists, we are able to accommodate all games for both teams.

In order to do so, the teams are assigned to FS PLUS on a nearly-equal amount. As it stands, the Pistons will appear on FS PLUS 20 times this season, the Red Wings 17 times.

When a Pistons or Wings game airs live on FS PLUS, it typically re-airs at midnight on FS Detroit.

FS PLUS is made available to 98% of the households that receive FOX Sports Detroit, thanks to the efforts of nearly every video provider across the state. Some systems have recently added an HD feed of the channel. For a complete list of channels by provider, you can visit our channelfinder page.

While we understand that some fans will favor one team over the other, our loyalties lie equally with both organizations, which we are proud to have as our partners that help make Detroit one of the great sports cities in the country."
