teamkory 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 Hi All, I live in Toledo and was wondering if anyone has some first hand info on the student tickets. I always go down to Columbus and use their student tickets without a problem. But I am sure the Red Wings tickets are harder to get. That being said I want to go to tonights Leafs game (or any game remaining this season) So if you could let me know some info about first hand accounts of getting these that would be great. I know in Columbus they sell the tickets until the game is sold out. Will tonights game be sold out? I do not want to drive to Detroit tonight for nothing, but I'm sure I can probably scalp some tickets after the game started for cheap. Thanks for you help! under_par_00 45 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 I have never tried for the student rush tickets (I really should sometime though). But I can guarantee that tonight's game will be sold out so you probably won't be able to get any. As for scalping tickets, there are always scalpers but tonight's game will be the most expensive game of the year.
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 Hi there, I've been to both red wings and blue jackets games and have bought tickets through student rush. The main difference between the two is that for the jackets, lower level seats are only $25 while for the wings its $45. If you live out of state and use your college ID, as I did for the jackets game that wont be a problem. The last wings game I went to was again St the stars last month I believe and the biggest problem anyone buying student rush is going to face is that its hard to find seats next to each other. Consideting the wings have been selling out all thei games, and that's the leafs are in town I'd suggest just staying home pulling up a stream and being happy with that. Don't let scalpers rip you off. Do you go to UT? I'm considering transferring there to finish my degree.
teamkory 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 Yeah I am just gonna stay home, watch on CBC and be happy with that I figured it would be a big ticket. I will though try for a mid-week game this year at least. Good to see they are selling out all of the games this year though.. and yes kylee I go to UT. Lovin Jiri Fischer 147 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 I think they are really easy to get. This month when everyone was home for spring break we decided to get student tickets for a game. But the official rule is that you need a student ID and that there is one ticket per student, so basically every person in the group has to be there to get a ticket. And I had to work all day so I couldn't actually go down to the Joe to get my ticket. I was really worried, but someone did manage to get an extra ticket for me. I also lost my student ID and just sent this person with something from my school that I printed off the computer instead of an ID. I was really surprised at how willing they were to bend the rules for us.
Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted March 27, 2011 I am a student at Oakland University and I have used the student rush tickets. The best thing to do is sign up for the text messages and they will send you one at 1130 ET if there are tickets left for that game that night. If they have any left, call the box office and get them reserved. Once you get the the box office before the game, simply walk in show your credit card and ID and your good to go. This was much easier than I thought. Upper Level tickets are $15 and Lower Bowl Tickets are $45. The last game I went to was against Nashville and I got a $58 for $15. Its a great deal!
