MulesWillFly93 199 Report post Posted October 19, 2011 There aren't many that irritate me more than Joe Thornton. I hope he never gets his name on the Cup. Even though many don't like Corey Perry, I'd be happy to have in Detroit. He doesn't run his mouth as much as he used to, but he's still an agitating player. Agreed about Thornton - I want him to stop being a horse's behind, but I don't want him to win the Cup, ever. As for Perry, if you'd asked me after the 09-10 season if I wanted him to be on the Wings, I would've said no way in heck, but if he's going to keep scoring like he did last season, then you bet - I don't care what kind of attitude he has. I wonder if he'll keep it up...
P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted October 19, 2011 I don't hate Ducks as much as I used to either. I actually don't think I hate them at all anymore. Must be because Wings haven't faced them in playoffs for two seasons and they haven't been much of a threat at all. The two playoff serieses in 08-09 and 06-07 were quite emotional to say the least. Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted October 19, 2011 Even though 2 years of oustings by the SJS have just passed I still hate the Ducks more. It's a powerful dislike. Me too. For me it's the kind of hate that really, really lingers. Sometimes you can hate an opponent but deep down feel like in 50 years you'll look back on the experience and say to yourself, "It wasn't so bad. I guess it had a purpose after all." I don't think I'll ever be able to say that in regards to both Anaheim series, 07 and 09. Those just reeked of a waste of life to me.
