Since the article was aritten he has moved up from 5th in the league amongst defensemen in scoring to 4th and has tied for the league league lead in goals by defensemen despite missing 17 of 41 (almost half of the games played thus far).http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/show (go to defensemen)Ryan Murphy (whose strengths are his skill and ability to qb the PP) who beat out Sproul for Team Canada jr.s is 26th on the list despite playing 7 games more than Sproul

Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 I was telling my buddy the whole tournament everytime Murphy made a s***ty play that Sproul should have been there instead of him, and that was at least 14 times a game.
cr00d 26 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 Not sure Sproul would have beat out Corrado tbh. Corrado was highly impressive in camp, he did everything right and was still let go. Had Sproul not broken his arm however, I think you would have seen him in a team Canada jersey along side Ouelette. In the end though, Steve Spott chose to be loyal to Murphy, a player he coaches in juniors over more deserving players. If Sheldon Keefe were Canada's coach, you might have seen Sproul instead.
