This is nonsense... misconduct? Seriously? I only saw it when it happened before CNBC went back to the Bruins/Leafs game.. so I can't see any replays. It didn't look misconduct worthy...

Am I the only one having trouble seeing the game??? AT&T is trying to tell me that the game isn't nationally broadcast and since I'm not in either the Detroit or Anaheim markets, I can't watch it. I got both Games 1 & 2 broadcast just fine...

 

Please tell me my provider is an idiot and I can justifiably flip my s*** on them when I get to the next tech support person???? I can't watch it on NBC's website because AT&T isn't on their list of providers for live coverage and the NHL Gamecenter app says its a nationally televised game >.>

It's because his ankle still isn't 100%. On the PK, he's putting that bad foot forward as a shot-blocking foot and they don't want to risk him being out of the lineup entirely.

I'm supposed to get off work at 7 tonight, and I live in Central so the game starts at 7 for me But I won't have any rush hour traffic to beat home, and it'll take 'em a good 10+ minutes to get their playoff intros and fangasming out of the way before the puck drops so I'm fairly confident I'll make it home in time.

Can you tell me a situation in any of the major sports, where when a call was screwed up, that the league apologized for the reffing?

I thought the NHL came out and admitted that a goal by Vancouver (against US no less) should have been called off back in December. I can't seem to find the link to it anymore (NHL.com's website only goes back to January)

Tomorrow will be a day of celebration as I get ever closer to my finals being over! My husband also bought me the Red Wings Octopus pillow pet for Christmas, and it came tonight xD

Hoping the octopus secures our victory against the 'Yotes! I'll be begging for a win tomorrow night. I just hope tonights all-nighter doesn't kill me for the game tomorrow.

Detroit winger Patrick Eaves was taken off the ice on a stretcher late in the game after he was struck near the right ear by Roman Josi's slap shot. He was conscious and lifted himself onto the cart before leaving the arena.

"You don't want to see a player go down and be taken off on a stretcher," said Josi, who made his NHL debut Saturday night. "I felt bad. I said that to him and he said it's alright and he's going to be fine. That was good; he stood up alone and got on the stretcher."

Eaves was taken to the nearby Detroit Medical Center. Babcock did not know his condition after the game.

Poor Patty.. takes the shot, and then tells the kid who hit him that it's alright. Classy move by Josi to check on him, and even classier by Eaves to shake it off and try to make the kid feel better about it.

This is the only time I hate Center Ice - because they black it out for the Blues feed even though I'm 3 1/2-4 hours away. Doubly worse when they aren't always broadcasting the Blues game on this side of the state.

Darren Pang is an AWFUL announcer >.> If I had the cables to hook my laptop up to my HD tv I'd just use a stream and watch it there xD If nothing else, at least my daughter will get to watch and get excited for us to win tonight.

I was supposed to BE THERE ;_; instead our financial plans fell through and our anniversary trip was cancelled.

The Sprint Center is a good fit for an NHL team, but I don't forsee it actually housing one. Not only because of Kabrok's statement that the arena is doing fine on it's own without an anchor team (although it is) but there's just zero drive for anyone in the area to want to buy the team. The city won't buy it like Glendale did with the Coyotes, and I don't see anyone really wanting to pony up to pay for the Isles.

Then of course, you get more league restructuring talk - etc etc and they already need to do it because of the Jets. I don't think the league would be too keen on having to do it yet again when the Islanders' arena agreement runs out.
