I would trade Flip and a first for Horton, just saying.

#1998648 How much better would we be looking with Leino and Kopecky

Posted by ComradeWasabi on 12 June 2010 - 02:10 PM

As has been already stated and as will probably be stated to you plenty in future posts...Leino played himself out of here with lack of production, etc., whether it was "fair" or not. Kopecky probably would still have a hard time getting top-line minutes still. More power to them for doing better elsewhere but they still probably wouldn't get much time here.

On a side note, it's another blueadams line combo thread, so do the following below...

I'm really proud that I started the blueadams line combo drinking game. :hehe:

#1997839 Adam Burish: Chris Pronger Is The Biggest Idiot In The League

Posted by ComradeWasabi on 10 June 2010 - 07:54 PM

4th liner

Not a compliment.

Pk's

Our PK was outstanding this year, we don't need any improvement here; and for the record, I don't believe Burish is an upgrade over anyone we have on the PK right now.

fights

Yes, badly.

hits

A lot of guys can do that better than him.

can skate a regular shift

So he's not Aaron Downey. +1 for Burish, I guess.

can play decent enough in the offensive zone

Decent enough for his career PPG to be 0.13. Congratulations.

He is exactly what Holland is looking for

For the sake of the team, I hope not.

#1967675 Setoguchi

Posted by ComradeWasabi on 29 April 2010 - 10:56 PM

Maybe it's just the heat of the game, but I felt myself getting irrationally angry during this game in a way that I don't usually feel. Every time the fans in that building cheered my blood pressure went up a little bit. When Setoguchi gashed Franzen open yet somehow drew a tripping call instead of sitting in the box for 4 like he should have, I think a small blood vessel in my brain burst. I understand that it's not his call, but he went down awfully hard considering he was busy taking a chunk out of Franzen's cheek.

And when he flopped like Peter Forsberg to draw the 5 on 3 I almost broke the nearest object (my phone, not a good idea). This little s*** will be the object of my hatred for the remainder of this series and in every game that Detroit and San Jose play in the future.

#1952795 Bryzgalov kicks an octopus

Yes, but was there a distinct kicking motion? Did the kick "propel" the octopus? We might need video review on this one.

#1934595 Any Word on Hossa's injury?

Hossa was the best winger on the Red Wings ever?
