We need a player who back checks hard, is an above average skater and is European to fit the Red Wing mold or has some connection to Michigan. That leaves us with: Miller, Alfie, Vanek. If age wasn't a factor, i'd go with Alfie, but since apparently we are taking that into consideration, my vote goes with a goalie who has been known to steal a game or two.

Why would we trade a DMan who is our best even strength DMan, has the highest +/- on the team and one of the highest PPG clips of all DMen in the entire NHL and is easily one of the top 5 most consistent DMen in all the NHL for the past decade? There's a reason Leopold is with his 5th team in three seasons and his stupendous -23 career +/-. Not to mention, wherever you heard this "rumor",they must be idiots cause' RafLOLski has a NTC.

I love a fallacy as much as the next person, but come onnnn. Player A: Defensemen In relation to other defensemen: 77th in +/- 2nd points 18th ES Points 1st PP points 12th highest in GA 29th PPGA 28th ATOI What can we deduce from this? Player A is an Elite PP defenseman, a very good even-strength defenseman, out there for too many goals against even-strength but superior offensive skills allow him to do that. His good defensesive skill gives him a lot of TOI. But yah, pick ONE stat and try to derive something from it. I picked the 3 most vital goalie stats. I back up my assertion with raw numbers and you just use fallacies to try and discredit my analysis. But good job though. Thanks Doc for the back-up and recognizing the same thing.

Ummm what? I've never seen a guy get crushed like that after a goalie covered the puck. So no, it doesn't happen all the time. Not to mention, the player here was a defender, he wasn't a guy on the offense who was whacking away at the goalie. I've never seen an attacking player from a rush do that to the defending teams defender, it's usually the other way around where a defender is clearing the net. I'd love for you to prove me wrong though and show me instances like this, where an attacking player ends a guys season with a hit after the puck has been covered.

1st in wins 28th in SV% 31st GAA These stats, for any goalie would lead me to believe: This goalie is starting too many games, this goalie has a GREAT team in front of him, this goalie is easily replaceable due to the team in-front of him. Take the name of the player and I feel you'll come to the exact same conclusion I have.
