Any idea on how many games Mrazek can be expected to start for the remainder of the season, now that glass bones and paper skin Gus is injured again? Also, has anybody said how long Gus might be out? I saw it's a concussion, so it sounds bad and that it might possibly be the end of Gus this season? The team has an excellent win/loss ratio with Petr in net, although his numbers have only been decent.

I think this is a great point, and that it's kind of understated. The team wins with Mrazek. He's poised, he's confident, and he's a better puck-handler. I think that does a lot for a team. Howard is quite the opposite. He looks silly often (even when putting up good numbers), he never seemed to handle the pressure of being Detroit's #1 goalie, and he's dreadfully bad at puck handling.... and the shootout. Mrazek looks so solid and confident that I'd think he deserves some more starts to see if the train can keep-uh-rollin

Put Mrazek in to get him a bit warmer and more comfortable for his game against the Penguins. With Jimmy in, you're killing time. But this plan doesn't fit in with Babcock's hyper-psychological approach to coaching. He won't pull Jimmy because he doesn't want to send a bad message.

I like Darren Eliot's bold prediction that if they shoot 18 they'll win the game. Also it seems like Ozzy is a bit more energetic today. Maybe it's because the gametime fits in better with his bed time.
