No matter how little money KFQ takes he is still not worth the spot he would take up on the roster. This is a perfect example of the team getting better by subtraction. Seriously the advance stats say he was a negative player for the Wings last season: http://www.extraskater.com/player/217/kyle-quincey

Yes, but the rest of the sentence still doesn't change the overall meaning: That given the chance they would re-sign him. That shows you just how disconnected the Wings' front office is from the real world.
-
Per the Red Wings official website
-
Pretty sure Bobby Orr still has some game left in him. Better get his agent in contact with Holland.
-
Out on the closest thing to a sure thing, in on the old man and the biggest question mark.
-
Kenny better be doing more than kicking tires on this one.
-
I doubt they let Pulkinnen walk, if this is from your source, your source obviously has no idea what he's talking about. PS even if this is true it shows that I am completely right, he has no balls.
-
How I have felt about Ken (doll) Holland lately and his moves.
-
If this comes true it would be a very pleasant surprise.

This team as it is today will be a bubble team, so they could get McDavid, it's just very unlikely. But why rebuild when you can play 5 playoff games a year?

NHL Draft 2014: Rounds 2-7 **MOD WARNING POST 51**

If you can see his plan you better call up his office because he can't even see his plan. -

This might be the most underwhelming Wings' draft since 2007. -

This year's 3rd and next year's third for a guy projected to be a 5th round selection. Kenny must have gotten fleeced for his desserts a lot during primary school. -
Welcome to the Wings Landon Ferraro 2.0
-
Helm with hands? Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah: Ferraro
-
Well Holland will have plenty of reason to do a whole lot of nothing now.
-
I have this feeling as well, he's going to be an above average 3rd line center, but not good enough to be a 2nd line center.
-
If he ever breaks 30 goals I will be ecstatic. It's a lot harder than people think it is, but I see him as a 20g 40a threat every year with a peak of 65-70 points.
-
Have you followed the development of either player at all? Pulks has been committed to improving any weakness in his game without question. He came into Grand Rapids being told to work on his defense, and he really became over the last year a very competent two way player, especially for a player that as you point out, use to be known for only his shot. Also if you didn't know this before his knee injury in his draft year he was projected as being the top 1 or 2 European draft picks and being taken in the top 5.

Actually I am not, look at Pulkkinen's production in the playoffs and in his first season in the AHL. Jurco's AHL rookie season: GP G A P 74 14 14 28 Pulkkinen's GP G A P 71 31 28 59 Pulk's scored 2x the points,in less games in his first year in the AHL. He's also a right handed shot, and a pure goal scorer. AHL Totals: Jurco 106 games 60 points Pulkkinen: 73 games 60 points But you know us trolls, nearly 4,000 posts over over 7 years and donating to keep this site running.

Jurco is pretty overvalued at this point, I have a feeling that Pulkkinen will displace him soon in the depth chart.
-
He strawmanned my position saying this: When I actually said Now it's pretty clear that wanting the Wings to win a cup isn't the same as expecting them to. Also that expecting them to either contend or to be building in a tangible way to becoming a contender isn't the same as expecting them to win a cup every year. As such it's a strawman.
-
Well my position isn't to win a cup every year, had you read my position you would have seen it was to either be a contender or be making tangible steps towards becoming a contender again,
-
A pass first player who is on the wrong side of 30? That's Ken Holland music!
-
Well first you strawmanned my position, I didn't say they had to be contenders every year, I said they had to be or they had to be making progress to that point. They have objectively regressed every year since 2008. Zetterberg and Datsyuk are both past their prime, the defense has been in steep decline, and Howard is Osgood 2.0, meaning he's as good as the team in front of him. You say we should wait for FA and the draft and etc. Look at the last 4 years as a guide, they do nothing in FA worth noting, nothing at the deadline, they retain older plugs and roleplayers while starting players like Nyquist and Jurco in the AHL.
