I'm already starting to panic seeing Twwets that Pittsburgh is ready to offer Parise 10/75-85 mil. While Parise isn't the biggest need, he's my favorite non-Wing and would love to see him rocking the Winged Wheel. That said, my guessing and feelings about tomorrow are cloudier than they've ever been going into July 1. Just have to wait and see...

This is the first day in God knows how long that I've missed LGW in my rounds and haven't spent much time on Twitter and this is what happens. He knows that he's ready and no one should contest it. I'm absolutely elated that me and my wife got to see him play in person at The Joe this seasons home opener. Just sad that he won't be playing in the Winter Classic next season.

This is awesome. In the spirit of bitching about what has gotten stupid about the NHL in the last few years (ice girls, cat fish, etc), these assholes have to top my list. So embarrassing.

In February, if anyone said that LA, St. Louis, Nashville and (it's looking like) Phoenix would be the last four in the West I would have turned the TV off until late May just in time to watch the Wings in the finals. The Eas isn't shaking out to be too scary right now either. Oh, how the mighty have fallen... Looks like the Wings aren't going to be the only team soul searching and retooling in this offseason.

Babs isn't going anywhere in the next year unless it's on his own terms. He's proven what he can do with the right tools and I'm sure they're in no hurry to replace him. Holland has been heralded as one of the best GM's in sports for some time now and he is now under scrutiny for the first time, not just from us fans but from the media as well. He knows that he is the GM of one of the best organizations in sports that is rich in winning tradition and knows what he needs to do keep the ship from sinking. I'm just as irked as the next person about his lack of moves in the last offseason and deadline but the ball is now in his court and has one last chance to redeem himself. The only way that he doesn't land Parise/Suter is if they take massive hometown discounts or someone gives them unreasonable deals. At that point I expect him to start working the phones. I have no doubt that this is going to be the biggest offseason since 2001.

Who cares if people are glad that the Sharks lost? I hate the Sharks, I don't respect the way they play hockey and yes I have sour grapes about the last two years. I would rather celebrate them going home early then deal with the potential of watching those douches skate around the Shark Tank with the Cup. Misery loves company.

A bit premature to post this as we are all still in our early exit rampage, but even though the season ended in a disastrous fashion, it offered some cool stuff as well. What were your favorite moments? - I finally got to see the Wings play, not once but twice :-). Home opener against Ottawa and the drubbing in Montreal. - in those games, I got to see Datsyuk and most importantly, Lidstrom. I drooled more from my third row seats during warm ups than I did my front row seats at Katy Perry last summer :-). - Filppula's regular season emergence. I've always liked him so it was good to see him produce on both sides of the ice. - The ongoing Datsyuk highlight reel. Unreal. - Finally getting the nerve to chat with you guys after almost a decade of lurking. Most of you are pretty cool and I hope it continues.

At least knocking this playoff stubble off won't be a chore this year.

He has until both Parise and Suter are gone, if both of them or at least one of them aren't committed to play in a Red Wings uniform then he gets stoned with pucks at center ice of The Joe.

He'll be rewarded with a 15 year extension.
