Personally, I think he was waiting until he had all of the information after meeting with all prospective teams, waiting until his whole family was together, and waiting until there was a firm, final decision that they could all live with. Any musings during this time have just been about what was on his mind at the moment, and if you've ever made a decision like this, you know how you tend to be thinking about one angle and leaning to one side one day only to have it shift the next. I do that ordering pizza.

I'm finding it easy to root for the Ducks now that they don't have Pronger, are playing the Blackhawks, and aren't grazing in our pasture any more.

It has lent itself to some funny stuff. The cheating in and of itself was not the biggest cheat in the history of sports, but it was intentionally breaking the rules. I'm into it for the lols. The person below me remembers the Bum Philips/Ray Guy controversy. (Speaking of cheating with footballs. It should be noted that Guy was innocent; he was just that good of a player.)

I'm relieved. I know that the winner in the west will be someone I hate. Now I know that I can at least root for the east, albeit half-heartedly.

I rarely have to resort to this, but I'm rooting for Analheim because Getzlaf's cute. That, my friends, is true desperation.
