It's these revelations that really makes me 'lol'. The Sabres will continue to be a joke alongside desert dwellers Phoenix. It's 1 of the few times relegation has a purpose.

The artificial replacement disc apparently has never been placed as high up on the neck on someone who plays pro sports - or so what the Sabres medical staff and mgt say...It's 'too risky'. While not privy to his medical records - I'm fairly certain Eichel's 2nd opinion from outside of the organization is probably as good as it gets and knows what they're doing. Still risky trade nonetheless.

With Chicago adding MAF, Jones (Seth), Johnson, and a 'healthy' Toews - they just might be a borderline playoff team. As for the Wings - I'm thinking .500 is attainable (maybe a game or 2 over or under .500)...But likely we'll still miss the playoffs.

Was reading on the Bruins side of things over at HF Boards that Sweeney likely knew a few plus weeks ago which sorta makes sense considering he used up cap space when UFA began. The thought is Sweeney gave Krecji the time to make his announcement as things settled down.

Good deal for lil'Bert in that he's been given a solid raise and at the end of the contract (barring any serious injuries) he's young enough at 28 to sign for an additional contract be it with Detroit or somewhere else - likely for more $$$. Good deal for Detroit in that we'll have him for a prime 2 seasons in which he'll be motivated to show that he's worth his new contract and if there are significant injuries in that span (crosses fingers hopefully not) Yzerman doesn't need to worry/LTIR. Like I said - it's a good deal for both sides.
