Yeah - he was pretty good at structuring the contract to minimize the cap hit - good enough where the league had to step in and make changes.

Personally I feel both Joe Bowen, and Jim Ralph do a great job.

1) The United Center employees in Chicago will do their best to make the Red Wings feel right at home by pumping in an audience like 'Detroit Sucks' thru their sound system...I wouldn't expect anything less from the FIBS. 2) Battle of Alberta reaches new heights of both violence on the ice, and generates interest among non-hockey fans. 3) Toronto will win the North, but get the boot from the 4th seed in the 1st round of their playoffs - AND - Detroit will play a spoiler, and win a few games late in the season so that the 5th place team in the Central will finish 4th thus making the playoffs instead.
