I'm bored...Looking forward to a new 'alternate' Wings jersey for the so called 20/21 season...Rumor has it it'll be a all white throwback with minimal red on the sleeves...If this will be it - I know what I'm gonna ask Santa for.

You an O.G.

I can't think of anyone with his crappy luck when it comes to extracurricular activity.

Reading the responses by NYR fans appear pretty much sympathetic towards our situation, and most gave props on Yzerman’s track record as a GM, and pointed out that he had only been in charge since last spring/summer. The writer may be a hack, but the fans were top notch.

Could you imagine the condition Howard would be in if he were still under contract with all this time off? -

7 teams playing 40 plus games amongst themselves...Talk about potential for seething hatred. My thought (meaning have the entire league play in the 7 host Canadian cities) would include 'some' family to join the players in their respective bubble, and each team would get at least 1 if not 2 bye week/s during the reg season. With teams playing 2 to 4 games per week - they'd obviously want travel limited...Would that mean having several teams in each city play 6 to 10 games? Take a few days off - then relocate to another Canadian bubble to play another round of games? Maybe have a site like Winnipeg (central location) to host games between Western/Eastern Conferences? Lots to think about, and to discuss how things would play out. NHLPA would probably state by having a 'flat cap' for the next 2 seasons, and a higher % escrow as well is more than enough from their side. With the recent CBA extension thru 2025/2026...https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-nhlpa-ratify-cba-extension-through-2025-26-season/c-317377214 -

IMHO - just have a 40 to 50 game reg season in which the Canadian franchises play host to the league. Too many teams traveling between the two countries is a mess just waiting to happen. -
Winnipeg...The franchise where players are under the microscope (Laine, and Byfuglien), or they simply want outta town (Trouba, and Myers). Is there sumthin in the water up there, or is it really that undesirable to play/live there?

Yup. Unlike their pro sports rivals here in 'Murica - tv $$$ for the NHL is a pittance, and the league relies heavily of having fans in the seats (tickets, concessions, parking, etc). Me thinks Chris Ilitch will only spend if Yzerman can strike a good deal that'll land the Wings more draft picks/prospects...Otherwise just sign some random guys who are capable of filling holes, and keep the tank running.

I’m guessing Petro’s demands over the past several months of negotiations were excessive, and/or maybe the 2 sides had a falling out, and it was a mutual feeling that both sides move on. We’ll see within a few days if they made the right decision.
-
Blues GM Armstrong seemed pretty desperate to replace Petro, but yeah - in about 4 years from now when their Cup window has closed it’ll be one of those contacts you wish you hadn’t done.

Maybe it's just me - maybe I'm odd, but I have a tough time watching both of these teams when they wore their $hitty looking jerseys these past 10 plus years. Now when the Wings aren't playing - I'll have no problem watching either of these teams while donning those sweet 'retro' sweaters. -

Flames, and Sens going back to their 'retro' jerseys for the upcoming season/s... -
Perfetti would've been picked had Draper hijacked the draft.
-
Tomorrow morning this team should see more Scando blood on the roster.

Meh - those Russian goofs weren't available for the most part tonight. Funny considering it's their ticket outta that crappy existence, and yet they're a no show - yet their western euro counterparts are up, and celebrating. Western Euro > Eastern Euro Let the 2nd coming of the Swede Mafia begin. Just Swedes only please ...
-
If owning you mean thru socialism Mother Russia has a s***ty economy, nothing on the shelves in stores, and life isn't worth living unless you consume 3 plus liters of vodka a day to tolerate the misery...Then yeah. Draft day tomorrow game plan...Draft more Swedes.
-
Yes...We're drafting nuthin, but Swedes in the first 3 rounds.
