Yup - my white privileged Trump 2020 bannered fortress is a good distance away from all the trouble Thanks for asking.

Make him earn his $10.5 million contract.
-
While I agree with you - in the end the players gotta do their thing. TB is getting the rest while Philly/NYI continue to slug it out. Wouldn't mind a TB/Vegas final...Will Stamkos play this summer? Drouin for Sergachev was a brilliant move. Hopefully Grand Master Y can replicate it if Mantha, and his agent becomes difficult to deal with.
-
Found this on Wiki... Unable to crack the talent-laden Red Wings and due to salary cap compliance issues, he was placed and eventually claimed off waivers on October 13, 2008, by the Los Angeles Kings.[9]

I don't think Grand Master Y will have any issues signing Bert to a new contract...Mantha on the other hand. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hossa, and Quincey come to mind. EDIT - not enough space for Hossa, and Holland moved Quincey in order to keep Chelios, and stay under the cap...

Unless Grand Master Y makes a move, and the Wings stay 4th overall - my $$$ is on Perfetti.
-
On a positive note Sean Avery can show him how to be a true New Yorker.
-
If the Leafs don't this lottery - they then lose their 1st round pick to Carolina when the Canes took on Marleau. You should have this guy in your avatar instead...
-
I'm cool with any of the Jets/Preds/Wild/Rangers/Panthers...Preferably in that order. Me thinks Grand Master Y would have to play some 'Jedi Mind Tricks' in order for either of those 2 to drop to us at 4th...Certainly not impossible - however sumthin interesting will have to take place for that to happen.
-
To me it's water under the bridge...I want a repeat of 1983 where our 4th overall pick becomes an All-Star, and HoF inductee.
-
hater On a more serious note...Ozzie/Vernon/Cujo had some impressive numbers - they also played in the 'dead puck era' with low scoring/heavy minded D, and were up against other netminders during this same time who are in the HoF (Roy, Hasek, Brodeur, Belfour). That said - I can see both Ozzie/Cujo getting in on really 'slow' years where the HoF committee may be a tad bit desperate on whom to nominate. Must agree here... Eyebrows were raised with Seider on draft day - however it appears that he's shaping into a top pair Dman...If there's a high probability of Askarov becoming the next Price/Luongo/Lundqvist - then I'd be a happy camper if he was selected.
-
As a pessimist - a realist - I expected us to drop to 4th, and I can honestly say that I'm not surprised that a bubble team will have the 1st pick. I'm gonna say Chicago will win it.
-
Too bad he didn't do more of that to the guys who took runs at him.
-
I’m not going there for I don’t wish to face the combined might of CRL and Kip.
-
Mario, and Sid are busy gargling Bettman’s balls.
-
Just finished watching the actual draft itself - dvr’d it last night. While I don’t wish to come across as a conspiracy type...Why the hell Bettman/Daly don’t make use of the bouncing/floating balls on live tv? This card revealing certainly raises some questions.

Years ago my aunt (moms sister) divorced, and a handful of years later re-married a German guy. From a German perspective - he said Austrians speak funny, and are weird. Do we want weirdos on this team?
-
Well - for better, or worse - we got Zadina. Guess anyone could drop.
-
Why not load up on quality Dmen? Forgive my ignorance since all I go by is scouting reports, but 1 scout mentioned Drysdale has the tools to be a Scott Neidermayer clone.
-
Well just as I and a few others predicted...Oh well.
-
I tell myself that no matter where we end up later tonight - there's a good chance Grand Master Y swings a few trades since the cap isn't going up, and a handful of teams are gonna have to move some players to be cap compliant for next season. That said I still want that #1.
