$5 says it's a Canuck - erm - a Canadian. Watching NHL Network - there was a pre-draft bit on Cozens - from the Yukon Territory, and moved to BC at 14 to expand his hockey career...Seems like an after school special made for Canucks TV. That said it could be Dach.

Keep in mind that Brian Burke made a deal that acquired both Sedins...IMHO it's unlikely that we'd see us landing Quinton Hughes, and a quality pick at #10, but I'm thinking if that pot were sweetened with a few of our 2nd round picks...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen/heard - top 2 picks are looked at being nearly 'generational' in potential. The picks from 3 to 7, or 8 are considered 'hi-end' caliber. From around 9, or 10 is when the quality of player begins to drop...

Indeed. Fletcher entered ChiaPet land when he handed the bank to Hayes, and Wilson - wtf - 8 years at 11 mill Dubas might get himself outta the dumpster this summer, but it'll take a miracle. We are so f**king lucky to have a competent GM. -
I think Yzerman needs to draft a few French-Canadians in the later rounds. Prop them up - make them look good - then in a few years Stevie can ship them off to Montreal for some of their best talent. After all these years the Habs still got that raging provincial hard-on for French speaking players

I know 'kids' these days have a chip on their shoulder (Maple Leafs are a beautiful example), but when a guy like Stevie Y tells you how things are gonna play out...If you don't listen, or continue to have that chip on your shoulder - yeah you can expect to be moved when HE decides it's time for you to go. Agreed. Yzerman won’t put up with any BS...Unless 1 of the guys surprises us with 40 plus goals, and 80 sumthin pts - they’ll most likely re-sign in the $4 to $5.75 million range. Larkin will be made a ‘cappo’, and his contract will most likely be setting a standard. -
