Personally I'd like to see a Stars/Blues series next.
-
Wow - and here I thought Dallas had no chance in their series, and I'm glad I'm wrong. Looking forward to the next game Monday night between these 2. Dallas could use some luv

Wow - crazy action right now...Fun game to watch.
-
Well - if you took December, and January outta the equation (netminding woes) - the Avs were/are a pretty damn good team. Lets see how they'll match up against Vegas (most likely)...

Watching Chris Ilitch - really reminds you of his late father (of course minus the curly crazy hair).

2019 Offseason Rebuild Thread, Pt. 2 - What's the Yzerplan?

If that doesn't work...You then rely upon the services of this guy... -
Pfft - 'Sockeyes'? Everyone knows the new Seattle NHL franchise will be known as the 'Screamin Dirt Worshipers'

Quite some interesting changes from that TSN/SportsNet/TheBobFather/etc have been reporting. I'm certain we'll see some surprises in the top 10 (possibly top 5 which may very well affect who we select).
-
And truth be told - the Douin, and St.Louis situations were handled quite well, or as well as one could expect.....Wait a second - does this mean the Wings won't be drafting any more French Canadians
-
Yzerman, and Gallant are good friends off ice...Would not surprise me at all if Gerard joined the Wings in some capacity - however I don't know how Stevie would feel about firing an old friend if it came down to that. Truth be told - I have a feeling that in a few seasons - the 'new' CBA might benefit GMs. What I'm getting at is - the max signing of players is 8 yrs if that team holds their rights...7 yrs for a free agent...I recall some talk of reducing both of those max terms - however I can see the NHLPA accepting that only if the UFA age/restrictions are reduced as well.
-
Wonder what this does for Devellano, Martin, and Draper? Holland is certainly bound to leave. Some time ago it was mentioned how Yzerman enjoys having assistant GM Pat Verbeek as part of his front office in Tampa...Will he join Stevie in Detroit?
-
I honestly believe he'll get 'released' from his contract pretty soon (if he hasn't been already). They seem to have a legit owner, and front office who have their $hit together (regardless of their early demise).

There's always a few surprises every draft day...I'm hoping that trend continues, and a few guys ranked 20th to 31st drop back so we can nab them in the 2nd round. Just think...With the # of guys Detroit has picked over the past few years in the top 3 rounds...We could be sitting pretty real soon!
-
Isn't there concern about Podkolzin, and his apparent 'commitment' to some KHL team? Also - anyone else think there might be some movement in the form of those three 2nd round picks? Maybe Holland/Yzerman uses those for a roster player/prospect/move up in the draft?

Huh - never heard of a heater be referenced to as a dart.

How did he come up with the nickname 'Dart Guy'?

DDL...1 of the best actors alive today! And yes - great scene - great movie...And Kudos to Paul Dano - he did a great job playing the role of a weasely preacher...And he knows how to take 1 for the team...I mean - he did allow DDL to bash his head in with a bowling pin.

That's 1 of the best perks of working in the front office of a pro sports team...Free booze, and food in the suites.

Does Mack smoke?

I believe so.
