Anyone on the current roster who's a pending UFA hopefully realizes that there's a good chance that Holland would re-sign them come July...Not only would they help themselves by being traded to a team that has playoff potential, but the Wings in the form of draft pick/s. I will say that I just recently acknowledged his performance...A late bloomer whom I'd love to see stick around for a few more seasons (only after he's traded for a 1st rounder by the deadline, and then re-signs with Detroit in July).

I feel kinda bad for Daley...When he 1st started out here he seemed to play well, but now he looks like he's playing hurt...Age, and the wear & tear of the NHL have caught up with him.

This right here. I never understood the hate that some have for him...Pierre seems like a great guy that you'd love to have some drinks with since he knows a poop-ton about the game, and the people who are part of it. Now - I like Don Cherry, but with him I can understand why many (especially the younger fans) dislike the guy...While he tells it like it is from his point of view - there are times I'm thinking 'Don - just keep yur trap shut'

While I don't mean to defend Blash here, but this teams lacks both the skill for the puck possession game, and the size (and the willingness to play physically) for the dump & chase.

I could see a handful of teams interested in Gus, but certainly not Daley...Are my eyes deceiving me, or does Daley look like he's struggling out there - especially his skating...

As much as I would like an old 'harda$$' behind the bench - the kids on our roster seem to respond well enough under Blashill. Me thinks it'll be Yzerman's call as to what will happen with Blash, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him for a few more seasons in Detroit.

He's a real late bloomer...I'm thinking if Wings mgt offers anything less than a 3 yr deal - his agent will then look elsewhere for a deal with longer term.

Indeed. While not fancy - he gets the job done, and usually makes the smart/simple plays, and avoids errors.

This. Now - is it me, or do the Flames have 1 impressive season outta 6 seasons (the other 5 are missing the playoffs). Wouldn't be surprised to see the Flames finishing 10th, or worse next season in the WC.
