It's somewhat misleading to suggest that the Wings will trade "if they win the next 6 games". It's unlikely that they'll win the next 6 ... does that mean there will be no trades? I always expect trades, someone will be traded for, or to ... it's the nature of the business. I hope that you don't think Holland will attempt to load up for a long playoff run by trading young propects and picks for the available superstar, because there isn't any superstars available. Not that I don't think the Wings are incapable of a run ... they certainly are, if healthy.

Potential playoff chances projection **Mod Warning Post #10**
stillwater replied to Richdg's topic in General
Though every team has a "road vs home difference", there's nothing to prove that the "difference" will stay in place over the course of an entire season, or in this case ... even a shortened season. Your point makes no sense. For instance, even though the Wings had no PPG's on the road in their first 30 some chances ... you couldn't make a valid conclusion that they'd never score a PPG on the road all season. Past play is somewhat predictive of future play, but it's impossible to draw absolute conclusions. Look at Columbus. Who could have predicted that they could go 11 or 12 games without a loss? ... but they have. -
You're correct, he hasn't been called up once ... he's been called up twice.

The next 26 games will pretty much be the key to the season. One at a time.

Biggest plus? Surplus of buyout candidates.

When the Wings get outplayed this badly and lose this badly and you're still looking for positives, or "bright spots", you're really a Toronto fan in denial.

What number will Nathan Mackinnon get with the Wings? What will next year's lines look like? Who'll be the next captain? What's Brunner's nickname? Alas ....

Another line thread? I'll pass.

How about just naming all the signifant contributions from Black Hawk picks since 2008.

If his voice was in the building, it was echoing from a telephone somewhere other than inside the building at most times.

Why is he being graded for his time post-Bowman? Bowman was nothing but a consultant, with little to do with the day-day running of the Wings from 2002-2008. For all intent and purpose he was essentially retired. This is like grading him for what he's done since Lidstrom retired.

Only one of the teams you listed actually have 9 d-men signed, but don't let the facts get in the way of starting a thread.

That's my guess. You don't like answers, then perhaps you should cease asking questions.

Nothing about Doan in that link

First you have to consider: A - Do you want to win? B - Do you want to blow it up and rebuild? Does that make too much sense?
-
No.

LA won the Cup with Willie Mitchell on D every night. Detroit's d isn't that bad. It just looks even worse when you subtract Lidstrom and Stuart.

Ryan Suter agrees to 13-year, $98-mil deal with Wild
stillwater replied to Ozzie30's topic in General
Ryan Suter is a good player. He was never going to replace what this franchise got out of Nik Lidstrom for 20 years.- 252 replies
