the lions are dead to me for now...i won't pay attention to them until draft time starts to come around, when all stupid lions fans hopes go up for no good reason...

dude that big shoulda knocked out ruiz...so i'm guessing the buy is just big but has average to below average boxing ability... someone will beat him...maybe not by knockout but by decision. then again, maybe by knockout if his boxing skills are sucky enough...

THE FRANCHISE IS IMPLODING!!!!! Dre Bly was on NFL network and said the Joey was the fault that Mooch got fired. Feels that Mooch was a great coach. Bly thinks that if you draft a top 10 ever year and still lose, it can't be the coaches fault (to me, that's backwards logic Dre). Said that if Garcia was their starter and stayed healthy, the Lion's would have a winning record and Mooch would still be the coach. Feels that a lot of guys on the team should have been fired a long time ago ahead of Mooch. Said Joey has looked bad on Sunday's and in practice ever since he's been a Lion. Jeff Garcia said Mooch just wasn't right for the job. Said that Mooch's relaxed attitude and atmosphere he creates worked in SF because they had veterans. But Garcia thinks that with all the young players on the Lion's, that a nice guy like Mooch just can't get players to do what they are told. Dick Jauron (our new interim head coach) said that NONE of the players have been following ANY of the schemes all year long and that everybody was just freelancing. I heard from someone else that Roy Williams was on some interview and he endorsed Joey and said it's not his fault that coach got fired...it was a whole lotta poeple's fault that Mooch got fired. There's a lot of finger pointing going on...this team is imploding...

awesome...hopefully if mooch gets fired then that means tollner is out the door soon as well. too bad millen is sticking around though...

geez louise...it's like this game after game, year after year...our offensive line is a laughing stock. just pathetic. and mike williams...could please drop more balls? 5-6 drops is just not enough...lets go for 10 drops a game... ugh...

What will it matter? Millen and Mooch are at the helm...whatever they do will be stupid and will not work.

I mentioned this last season...I feel like I need to bring it up again... Last season, Steve Young and Chris Collinsworth and Jaws all said that there isn't a single QB in the league that could succeed in Detroit. Well...in my opinion, not much has changed since last year...o-line still sucks, offensive play calling still sucks, recievers still suck, players still injured... This team is a MESS from head to toe...from GM to ball boy. Concentrating on the QB position alone (as it usually seems to happen) is like worrying about the cut on your hand while ignoring all the other cuts all over your body. We blow everywhere...it's just sad...

re-birth of the joey harrington era!

cuz we do so well with draft picks, right? look at gems like joey harrington, roy williams, charles rogers, mike williams, kevin jones, jeff backus, stockar mcdougle, chris clairborne, aaron gibson, terry fair, bryant westbrook... we don't do so good in the draft...

I don't like Rogers... Substance abuse...fragile frame (first two years)...and especially the bad attitude...he intimated that he basically quit playing the second half of one game cuz they weren't throwing to him much in the first half. That's pretty freakin unprofessional...terrible attitude with regard to effort and team mentality...

MAJOR changes needed... Harrington, Mariucci, Tollner, Jauron, and Millen MUST go...period. Wholesale changes...

My boys are doomed...

I listened to WDFN and heard what guys like Stoney, Jamie, and Killer had to say. The blame for this type of game starts with coaching. More than once, they said this game was about a less talented but better coached team that beat a more talented but poorly coached team. More than once, the mentioned that the Lion's did not lose that game yesterday...they lost that game during this past week of practice and preparation. Mariucci has to go...Ted Tollner has to go...Matt Millen has to go... The Rams exposed our inability to handle a bltiz during the preseason. It's the coaches jobs to fix that...to work on it...to scheme and plan for it. The Bears watched what the Rams did to us...and just copied it to a 't'...and it worked like a charm. That's inexcusable for the coaching staff...we should have been better prepared...we should have worked on our weakness... And lets face it...Joey cannot throw under pressure. We've seen 3 full seasons of Joey...and he has consistently shown that when he gets protection, he can do an adequate job. But when the o-line busts down, Joey starts backing up and throwing off of his back foot and bad things happen. Either find a way to protect him or find someone who's willing to stand in there and get smacked around for the rest of his career. One or the other...I don't care which.... Preparation awful...play calling awful...execution awful...just awful all around... And here's the thing...other teams are gonna blitz like mad too! So we gotta either figure this thing out, or get smacked up side the head every week. Find away to pick up the blitz...or back up the blitz by running the ball past their blitz consistently...give Joey one more second by putting him in the shotgun more often...run more short slants to get that ball out quick for a short catch... This team is doomed...

Defense BLOWS!!! The whole lot of them! They ALL suck!!!!!! O-line was ATROCIOUS!!!! Just awful!!!!!! We could put a better line together using LGW members!!!!!!!!!!!!! The skill players on offense looked good...KJ, Joey, CRog, Roy. Mike Williams looked a little sluggish...but his size allows him to make plays anyways. Pollard and Fitzsimmons looked ok too. Sledge getting hurt sorta stinks...

someone posted a article about that earlier, i think. i'm pretty sure i posted that i was sick and tired of the pistons whining. the spurs have shown the ability to change their style of play to suit the officiating and the opponents. the pistons need to do the same. they should know against what refs they can get physical and against what refs they need to play with more finesse. cuz blowing your top and getting teed up usually does not help your team...
