Maybe. We'll see what Dallas does, but Tampa has had several deep playoff runs since Yzerman took over. We've won one playoff series since he left from what I remember. If not for Bryzgalov's terrible goaltending, we'd have one series win since 2009. Also, both Dallas and Tampa have bright futures and young stars. Our future is not as bright. Holland has not set this team up for future success.

The real playoff streak was being a Cup contender for about 17 years or so. Many of those seasons, they were the Cup favorite. No other team besides Montreal from the 50's to the 70's had a streak like that. However, the last 6 or 7 years are all about keeping a stupid streak alive just to give us one week of pathetic playoff hockey to watch. That streak is not impressive. That's what the Blues streak was about all those years. Make it to the playoffs and lose one week later. Who cares? How can Holland have the nerve to fire a coach when he's been here so long and has sucked as GM for many years? That would take some nerve. The ownership needs to step in and fire them both. The fact that Yzerman and Nill are having so much success just makes it sting more.

Putting two players on the point would be nice for starters. And learning to shoot the puck quicker instead of stopping it and letting the defenders get in positions to block shots.

Andersson playing (or not playing I should say) in this series over AA is everything that's wrong with this organization right now. No accountability.

They should be. They can't blame age as an excuse. They're just not high quality players.

Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Kronwall should not return to this team because it stains my memory of them. Those players could, presumably contribute elsewhere as role players, but I don't see them wanting to do that. They'll be even slower and older next year.

Kenny Holland and Blashill need to be fired after this game. The Ilitch family needs to start giving a crap again. This team is NOT going in the right direction. 4 out of 5 playoff exits in the first round.

Seems like we always go out with a whimper offensively in the playoffs. We just flat out don't score playoff goals. Our grinders scored more than our "stars" in this series.

I've been saying this for a million years. I don't ever want my goalie playing pucks. I'm old school that way.

Why couldn't that ******* Bishop play this way against Chicago last year in the Finals? My least favorite kind of player. Plays well against you. Plays mediocre or poor when you cheer for him.

I don't think effort is the problem. We just have limited talent. Our GM and ownership have assembled a team that isn't very good.

Stopping Helm and Sheahan on breakaways? I wouldn't say he's standing on his head. We're not the '84 Oilers.
