I bet the Ilitch family isn't even watching this game. They're probably at the Tigers stadium trying to figure out how to improve that team's chances to actually win something.
-
Roughing? Are you kidding me? What a joke this sport has become.
-
Finally! Good start to the period. Need to keep it going here.
-
Ottawa now up 3-1! JK
-
Remember how before the season people on LGW said they'd rather have Zetterberg than Thornton? Last I checked, Thornton is top 5 in scoring, while Zetterberg would be lucky to lead the AHL in scoring.
-
Surprising that Pittsburgh would help the team they hate the most.
-
I was afraid this jobber goalie would give us trouble.
-
Helm should not be playing higher than the 3rd line.
-
I wonder what we can trade him for in the offseason?
-
I thought the Rangers weren't trying to win?
-
Please retire Hank.
-
Datsyuk is probably counting the minutes when he doesn't have to play with Helm as linemate anymore.
-
They tried hard against Philly at home. What did you expect? Three straight desperation efforts?
-
Does it matter if we're golfing next week vs. two weeks from now?
-
Everything Zetterberg does offensively is laughable at this point. I honestly wouldn't mind if he retired in the offseason. If we played him in a lower line role next year, I wouldn't mind him returning. However, he's going to be on the top line again. Plus he'll be one year older. Will be even harder to watch than this season.

No urgency for the Wings. The Rangers look like they're playing for a playoff spot.
-
Shows you how different each team's goals are. I wouldn't mind playing the '92 Penguins, just so we can say we made the playoffs.
-
Would be funny and sad if they allowed it.
-
Because Rangers fans love Boston and Philly? Think again.
-
Even when that idiot Andersson scores a goal he can't do it right.
-
Oh come on. I thought the Rangers wanted us to win. Is having your skate in the air above the line offside?
-
He comes back tomorrow in a shocking return and scores 3 goals and 1 assist. He then picks up Zetterberg and delivers a chokeslam outta nowhere. That's after he beats up Rick Nash in a fight.

Knuckles vs Numbers - The death of the enforcer
GMRwings1983 replied to Nightfall's topic in General
According to dropyourgloves, there have been 482 fights in the NHL this season (not sure if that includes preseason as well). There were 555 total last year. In 2014, there were 694 total. 2013 was a shortened year, but had 394 fights. In 2012, there were 768. So there's no doubt that fighting has decreased. Part of Bettman's plan to make hockey less enjoyable. -
Then they should be more obvious, like pulling the goalie randomly in the first period or deliberately icing the puck at every chance. Would be nice if they could just lay down for us like Kevin Nash did for Hogan back in 1999.

He could be right with the Caps playoff history, but the Flyers or Bruins wouldn't exactly be entering the playoffs on a high note. It seems like the underdogs that generally pull upsets are teams that played well down the stretch to make it in.
