Yeah, I guess he would improve on guys like Lashoff and Kindl (so would anyone). But it's not a signing that will wake up the fanbase that's currently becoming lethargic and used to mediocrity.

Ehrhoff scored 33 points last year in 73 games. Apparently, I'm supposed to get on my knees and blow him for that amazing accomplishment.

Don't think I'm spoiling any answers when I mention Gretzky's name, but it's incredible that he scored his 500th goal back in 1986. That would be his 7th or 8th season. Got 38/39 right on the 60 goals or more trivia. The one I missed, I doubt anyone would get right, and take off my hat to anyone who does. (hint: 1981-1982 season part)

Boy, I start to feel like an old man when I see the faces of some of these players getting drafted. I remember when I used to watch hockey and be younger than all the players I was watching. -

I forgot to mention, Bure is good friends with Gino Odjick. We'd make a hell of a team. BTW, I'm surprised no one has said they want to hang out with Link Gaetz. -
Hate those annoying stripes the Reebok jerseys have added to NHL teams. The Ducks best jerseys are the green and purple ones they used to wear. I remember hearing the players were embarrassed by them and the team wanted to distance themselves from the movie (or something like that). I never understood that.

It's a shame we never had Bertuzzi during that short window when he was a dominant force in the NHL. He's had two stints for the Wings, but both are very forgettable. Ironically, that gap when he wasn't on the team was when we made two Finals apperances. Not saying it was his fault, but ironical (Where's DraperFan?)

I don't want Thornton, but I'll take a younger enforcer. We have plenty of room, especially with our injury projection for next season. Abby is a guy that Babcock puts on the top line. What makes you think he'll be a 4th liner all of a sudden in the coach's mind? A team that puts a jobber like Abby on the top line has plenty of room for an enforcer. -

He played 82 games, so of course he'd be among the team leaders in these categories. Doesn't mean he's a good or effective hitter. He's a decent PK man, but our PK wasn't that good when it counted in the postseason. -

But they make our 4th line easy to play against. We haven't had an effective 4th line since the grind line. Your 4th line should be an energy, hitting line. Miller doesn't really hit anyone. -
This move only makes sense if Holland is doing it to troll Wings fans. It feels like he actually reads this board and wonders what he could do to piss people off the most.

Helm isn't a 4th liner and won't be next year. Why this team? Are we more skilled than others? Why can Thornton play for Boston all these years but not us? Not like the Bruins needed him in order to be tougher than other teams. BTW, I don't want a Thornton, just a younger player like him.
