Crosby left the game after puck to the face

Huh? Did you even read what I wrote on the first page. -
Does the upcoming realignment change our trade options?
GMRwings1983 replied to turbowhistle86's topic in General
Maybe, in the sense of getting a little bigger and tougher to play against. Teams in our division like Toronto and Boston (felt strange writing that) will try to bully our players around. Kind of like they do against Montreal. -
For his contract, I expect him to be a much better player. It's not a coincidence that New York is looking to move him and Minny eventually let him go as well. Putting up more than 20 goals isn't saying much. He's a good scorer, but not "elite". Just as streaky as Franzen, minus Franzen's playoff numbers. We do need a scorer of some kind, though, so it all depends on the price.
-
It should be right. He hasn't had a good year and is mediocre in the playoffs.
-
Maybe that's who Holland was calling on the phone.
-
Sign him Kenny! He won the "most accurate shooter" at the ASG once, going 4 for 4. We need someone who can aim the puck skillfully into the top shelf.

"My condolences go out to the Crosby family during this most trying time". Gary Bettman -
Except for having Yzerman, Fedorov, Shanahan, Lidstrom, Chelios and Larionov already on the roster. Even if the 2001 offseason signings didn't happen, the Wings would have still had a much better team than this current crap. Detroit isn't that attractive a team to come to anymore.

How do they know? Are they tapping the GM's phones?

Trade Huskins to Flyers for conditional 7th rd pick (2014)
GMRwings1983 replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
Strange trade for the Flyers. They're not going anywhere this year, so why make this move? May as well have kept their conditional picks. Trade makes sense for Detroit, since Huskins wasn't going to play anyway. -
Visnovsky Signs Extension With NYI (2 yr/$9.5M)
GMRwings1983 replied to P. Marlowe's topic in General
To live in the New York area. Especially for the families of players. Especially foreign players. -
Rebuild from what? Their rebuilding started years ago when they let go of Drury and Briere. They had the best offense in the league for several years there. I don't see how moving the above players and getting a Filppula is going to start some rebuilding process. Also, I used to want Clowe, but he hasn't scored a goal this year. Sure he'd create more room, but he's not a finisher. The good news is that he should be easy to acquire and San Jose shouldn't be reluctant to let him go.

Why would Buffalo move Vanek, who leads their team in scoring? Have they already given up on the playoffs?

Wings remove Carlo Colaiacovo from injured reserve
GMRwings1983 replied to MidMichSteve's topic in General
Seriously? He may as well have said he had fun getting paid for nothing. -
I was talking about the future. I'm afraid we're going to sound like Canadiens fans soon, talking about all we accomplished in the past.

Dreger: Wings 'very interested' in Bouwmeester *merged*

Those two prospects better turn out to be the next Gretzky and Messier, or else I'll be forever pissed. -

Anyway we can get him and immediately get him to take a massive paycut? Otherwise, I say no. Holland is cheap, but even I wouldn't make this move. -
And then he overpays for people like Quincey and Samuelsson, like the above poster suggested. I'd rather overpay for stars then for scrubs.
-
Don't get excited. Lilja and Worrell were good buddies, and sadly were never reunited in Detroit.
-
Nah. It was a Freudian slip, because you actually feel that way.
-
You said he was the greatest talent in NHL history.
-
I would propose to her tomorrow.
-
Oh. Well, then I hope Iginla breaks his ******* neck on his first shift. And I'm not joking. Do we still have a shot at McGrattan?
-
Seriously? If it was all about Crosby, Iginla would have only wanted to play for the Pens and no one else. Not like Datsyuk or Toews are crappy set-up men. He had a list of several teams.
