It's true. The Wings lost 5 Finals from '56-'66. Ironically, he arrived in Detroit the year after they won their last Cup in 1955, and to Toronto a year after they won their last one in 1967! Talk about s***ty luck indeed. -

What about Norm Ullman? Certainly the best Red Wing never to win the Stanley Cup and one of the best in league history. I think it's a large part of why his number isn't retired by the Wings. Not that it's his fault, but he arrived after the Cup dynasty of the 50's ended. I heard that he played in 5 Finals without winning one. Any truth to this? Must be a record. -

Yeah, Bernier blew the game for his team. Can't remember ever seeing a 5 minute major being scored on so many times. Let alone in a game this important. -

Can't believe anyone mentioned Dallas Drake in the first place. Guy didn't play that long with Detroit in the 90's and I hated his ass in St. Louis. It's only after 2008 that I forgave him. -

Coming off two straight Finals with great ratings. Mostly due to original 6 teams playing in each. The ratings would have been higher if Jersey hadn't spoiled the party. Considering how they've played in these Finals so far, it's been a big waste for the league. -

One enforcer and a guy like Prust won't change our style of hockey. If you go back as far as the late 90's in your definition of "our system", then you have to admit we had an even tougher lineup than what an enforcer and Prust would provide. -

And Howard has not been able to outplay the other guy (not counting Bryzgalov) in order for us to advance far. Since we're not obtaining a Conn Smythe goalie this offseason, we may as well demand something realistic. Admit it. Chicks dig enforcers and hockey fights. -

This Henrique f*** is starting to really get on my nerves. Scores against Florida in OT, when I wanted Jersey gone. Scores in OT against New York, to ruin the NHL's ratings. Scores now to possibly ruin an eventual Cup celebration.
