Obviously, they're not going to blow up a two time consecutive Presidents Trophy winner. At the same time, what do you do to improve this roster?

The entire Capitals team should be flogged for their performance in the third period of this game. They should lose some season ticket holders after a performance like this.

They came out jittery for the 3rd period. There's something wrong this team mentally. Adding one Justin Williams doesn't help. They need to add a bunch of players who have won a Cup before.

I have the feeling that Pittsburgh will run out of steam before winning the Cup, especially if they keep having injuries. Just like the Wings in 2009.

It would be like the Capitals to come back in this series and still choke at home in game 7.

That game reminded me of the Wings collapse against LA in 2001, game 4. I remember going to sleep when we were up 3-0 and being in for the shock of my life the next afternoon when they showed highlights on espn. This series is why I can't stand the NHL's marketing. Instead of rigging it to help Edmonton and their young phenom, they're rigging this series to help Anaheim for some reason. Two goalie interference calls that were missed. Very simple. Holtby has been subpar in the playoffs. If he played like this in the regular season, they would have been a 4 seed. Their so-called top defense has given up too many good scoring chances. Those defensive players are overrated trash. They've scored plenty of goals, but no offensive players have stood out and too many players aren't cutting it in big moments. Also, as I stated earlier, no-neck Barry Trotz has never gotten far in the playoffs himself. They should have found a more proven playoff coach to replace Boudreau and Hunter. Hanta yo baby!

Washington needs to bring in a coach who isn't a playoff loser. Boudreau and Trotz should not be your coaches if you want consistent postseason success.

Winning in the second round of the playoffs doesn't give you the Stanley Cup. We'd still have to beat LA and Boston. The funny thing is, I still don't see them winning the Cup as the other teams in the playoffs have impressed me more than Washington.
