I'm fine with this. It's hard to keep up with the Winter Olympics when they're not played on this side of the world. The scheduling was terrible for the last Olympics. All the games took place during work hours. That means spoilers by the time you get home. Not to mention, NBC and that idiot Bob Costas didn't show any hockey re-runs during the prime time evening hours. They were too busy blowing Apollo Anton Ohno or some other doofus. -

I didn't hear that. When did he say that? This organization didn't retire Yzerman or Lidstrom's numbers until they actually retired. However, it was well known that those guys would have their jerseys retired someday. Can Holland state affirmatively that Datsyuk would be retired? -

This game reminded me of why the Wings have never gotten out of the 2nd round with Jimmy Howard. After getting rid of Holland and Blashill, getting a real consistent goalie should be the next step. Shouldn't be hard as goalies are a dime a dozen nowadays. -

I hope they can take the boards at the JLA and put them in the new stadium. Always made games more exciting when the puck plays pinball.

Chelios is still upset about being left off most of the 2008 and 2009 playoff squads, in favor of Brett Lebda. I don't blame him. On top of that, Chelios got benched for most of the Winter Classic against Chicago in his hometown. I thought that was a dick move by Babcock.

Zetterberg was interfered with, but he should have never turned the puck over to begin with by going back in his own zone carelessly. This team sucks in OT this year because they're too overconfident in their abilities, despite not being all that talented. -
