The one comparison you can make between the 2016 Penguins and 2008 Wings is in puck possession and the shots on goal disparity between them and the opposition. The biggest difference is the Wings won the Presidents trophy and dominated the entire season. Pittsburgh didn't get hot until they fired their coach. -

No. Their forward group may be stronger, but our defense and goaltending was a lot better. Same with coaching. Wings in 5. -

These goalies are weird. They make the greatest saves only to give up the crappiest goals. All three goals should have been handled better by the goalies. -

20 straight seasons finishing top five in scoring. How ridiculous is that? The longevity and good health required for that, together with playing at a high level. -

He didn't look good the last time he was on TV, so I'm not surprised. It's amazing how many years he played in an era when that wasn't as common. I don't see any athlete in any of the major sports (count counting sissy baseball) who could play until they're 52 and still play at a good level. -

Even though Detroit won the Cup, that game is still one of my biggest regrets as a sports fan. Would have been nice if we could just let those 32 seconds pass without giving up a goal. I screamed at the TV throughout those three overtimes. -

In the past, this poll would be easy. Back then, we were good and were missing a piece or two. Now we need at least 4 of those categories. Maybe all 5, but we likely don't need any defensive defensemen (though an upgrade over what we have would be nice). But all the other categories we badly need to upgrade. I didn't vote because I can't decide what the biggest need is. I'm leaning towards offensive defenseman, because your offense starts from the blue line. -

On the bright side, there will be a new video of Crosby lifting the Cup. Not just the one in JLA that I always turn away from. Luc Robitaille's breakaway buzzer beating goal at the end of regulation to force OT is something I'll never forget from that game. -
The person who designed this logo should be in the HHOF. The blue whale tail on top of the "subtle" white H and the green W beneath. In contrast, the person who designed the Hurricanes logo should be sent to the minors to design logos for beer league teams.

Pittsburgh has never won the Cup on home ice. Although they had a chance in the 1995 Finals before the game was interrupted by terrorist attacks in OT of game 7. -

My favorite Jets logo was the "Ultimate Warrior" logo the Thrashers used to have. They need to bring that back for a game.
