Depth? Don't forget, they just traded for "2 Captains" And Dats is the best until he retires. Points aren't the only thing that makes a player great. Dats is better at every other aspect of the game.

I meant stats wise. And I'd bet money that Nyquist could play centre just as good as Flip. He seems more like a centre to me than wing anyways.

I've said it before and I'll say it until something happens contract wise, he's not worth 5 mil. Franzen at 3.8 should be the deal he gets, but if he wants more then that, maybe he should think about earning the contract while he thinks about the money he wants while he should be thinking hockey. All the while, SNAP THE 7 GAME POINT STREAK *******! I've always really liked Flip, but if he wants 5 mil, he can take his net pay from the last 3 years and move to Russia. He can have Hudler's sloppy hooker seconds and his old roster spot. The amount I like Flip can't make me overlook how much money he wants for what he's bringing to the table currently.

But I have Tatar on a line with Dats and Nyquist in NHL 13 GM mode and he's tearing it up. Honestly though, I think Tatar could step in nicely for Flip. I put it in some other thread not long ago.

Is there still salary arbitration? Cause the Wings could send him to it and his 13 points in 29 games will get him a 2 year 6 mil deal cause that's junk for a guy who wants 5 mil per year. Try again with the 5 mil demands if he puts up 2 more 66 point seasons.

I'm with you on this, but I still wish Flip was traded for a 1st and 3rd or something like that and then Tatar could just come up, and his numbers are comparative to Flips this year with much less ice time. Tatar is NHL ready.

And the Wings equivalent to what was traded for Gaborik, whom most thought would require our 1st, is as follows: Filppula, White, Eaves and a 6th. That's essentially what the Rangers got for him.

Pittsburgh needs to lose 4 straight in the 1st round and go f*** themselves. He's in the top 6. His medula oblongata is out of wack and he thinks the 4 point game he had is gonna be a regular showings in the playoffs. He already bought a red carpet to roll out for when they deliver the imaginary cup to his house. That's cause the AHL's Calder Cup is where it's at! I hope we see a 2nd line of Cleary-Franzen-Sammy in game 1 of the playoffs. Franzen at centre would showcase his hustle.

And he can learn trash talk from the best! Nope, top guy in GR, with Ouellet 2nd and hopefully on a line together. Develop the chemistry there and see if they need a 2nd year. If not, hopefully Kenny doesn't keep offering 2 year deals where he should give 1.

Injuries or not, Tatar needs to be back up for playoffs and without sending Nyquist down.

The only problem I have with Franzen is that he doesn't hustle that much. He's good on the cycle, but a lot of the time he takes a really lame bad angle shot when he has one of the best shots in the league. Every time he goes to the slot, he scores. He just doesn't go to the slot often. Watch every PP goal he has this year. Slot - one-timer - back of the net.

Yeah, the Oilers, cause they actually need a good 2-way forward like Flip. But then again, they won't have the money either. Flip may be singing a different tune when teams have to shed salary and everyone offers him 3 mil per for his 13 points in 29 games in a contract year.
