There's like 6 or so Wings games being televised this month, and somehow the tv networks didn't see fit to nationally air one of the greatest players of all time having his jersey retired? NHL is a funny business.

I hated this trade until I found out the story with Jarnkrok maybe heading back to Europe to play. I'd rather get another 2nd line C than lose Jarnkrok for nothing. I'm actually warming up to it a bit now. Also, I'm gonna throw my feet up and wait to see who comes to the Wings from Europe and what goes on this summer.

This exactly. Once Weiss gets healthy and gets some games under him I fully expect him to return to form and be a difference maker. Danny Cleary begs to differ. At least Weiss made some plays, but couldn't get the bounces. Cleary was by far our worst signing this past summer.

Where are Axelsson and Ryno these days? Maybe they'll join Avery on dancing with the stars?

Nyquist is holding a good pace with 2008 Mule for points and Tatar is a top young talent that keeps getting better and is at .5 points per game in his 1st NHL season getting sparing minutes. I wouldn't give up either of them at this point for anything less than a package deal to get a 1-2 Dman.

And Quincey likely won't be here next season putting up a roadblock for the likes of Sproul and Ouellet, whom at least one of them can start on the Wings and then look for a signing or a trade should they require more seasoning, though I firmly believe next year Ouellet is a Wing.

Helm needs the summer to recover and do more strength training without setbacks and he'll be good to go. He's still very valuable. I think you're right about Legwand and I believe he'll be more than a rental.

We overpaid in the sense of Jarnkrok, but if the rumours are true and Jarnkrok was threatening to head back to the SEL, than the move by Holland may actually make sense once the smoke settles. For the other part, we're all in pretty intense discussion, but we just don't like belittling the members on here, especially other teams visitors that come on here and are quite civil. He's not Centcougar.

This summer? Don't care too much about this coming draft. I'd rather give up a 2nd and give a damn about the playoffs.
