Except when he completely disappeared against Utica. Until he shows he has an answer when being well defended against, I'm not sold. Like I said. I hope I'm wrong. And by no means do I think he sucks. I just think some people on these forums are pumping his tires far too much. I see guys like Jurco becoming more important to this team than pulk can ever dream of becoming.
-
His trade value is higher now than it likely ever will be.
-
While I don't think he sucks by any means, I am unconvinced his success will ever translate to the nhl. I hope I'm wrong. I just don't see it.
-
We also don't need Yandle now that we have Green.
-
Stewart, Semin, Franson, a big pile of nope. Let them be someone else's problem. As much as I'd love to see a trade for another top 4 dman (to replace Ericsson), I only see players getting moved for picks/prospects at this point. Unless a GM out there happens to be shopping someone Holland wants. But taking up more roster spots for the players left on the market makes no sense. The team has enough depth to wait for the right players.

I think the big reason this is coming up now is because Richards wore #91 last season. Paired with the HHoF induction, of course.
-
I can't imagine a word where one euro twin is in the rafter without the other. Both are very special players and have been equally important to this team for many years. The disney.com love is strong
-
On my phone and can't post the tweet, but Holland said discussion will start on whether they should put 91 in the rafters.

I missed this one. Holy crap what is Boston doing. Shipping off every good young player they have. I thought rebuilding started by trading off the old guard?

He'll take 25 i'd say -
Lots of Brad Richards talk out there for a one year deal.

Signed Wings sign Brad Richards 1 yr, $3 million

Got ya covered! Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 19m19 minutes ago Deal isn't quite done, but Brad Richards and the Red Wings are working on a 1 yr deal. -
I'm secretly hoping we make a nice package for Edmonton to land Eberle. But yes, it is wishful thinking. We have too many players up front and on the backend. Edmonton needs d and role players. We have too many of both.

My position is that it's very likely he does make Kessel better, but that s*** happens and there is no such thing as a sure thing. Common sense, really. What is life like in your everything is a 100% sure thing fantasty land?

I like richards on a one year deal. Gives us certainty for a second line center, and a year for larkin/sheahan to grow into that role

It was silly in the post i liked to. As I already stated, it was my agreement on the money the mentioned players would not get that I agreed with, hence the like. The fact you keep bringing it up furthers my point of you always having to be right. If the chemistry is there, it isn't too far fetched to see Kessel score 40+. But there are way too many factors in hockey to even begin making predictions. We'll just have to wait and see. The only fact is that Crosby is an elite player capable of making those around him better. Which means he can very well make Kessel better. But maybe they simply won't click and he becomes Malkin's winger instead. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
-
I think we'll be fine on the back end. Definitely good enough to start the season and see how things go. trade deadline is the best bet to make any more changes on the back end at this point I think.

Would much rather keep Q over E. -
Yup, because I agreed with what you said. Not the fact that you were throwing around bets. Just because I think betting is an immature and silly way to win arguments, and the fact that I think you're wrong about Crosby/Kessel, doesn't mean you are always wrong. But if me liking that particular post helps ya sleep tonight, then glad I can help.

We have guys who can defend. Now we have a nice mix of offensive and defensive dmen. Plus, a big part of defense is keeping the puck, and moving the puck.

This move, along with a new coach will completely change the makeup of our defense. A lot more puck moving skill, ability for a much more up tempo game, a lot more d jumping into the rush. All while still having guys capable of being responsible in their own end. I'm pumped that the hopes and dreams of getting Franson will be put to rest. -
To be fair, nobody on this site falls in the "i'm always right" category more then you. Crosby will make Kessel better. That's what great players do. Hockey 101.

Higher cap hit for short term. Good contract.
