Cossa was always gonna take longer to develop than Wallstedt. But clearly, management sees a higher ceiling with Cossa, which is why I have always also been Team Cossa. I do look forward to the meltdown when Wallstedt shows NHL success first though.

Vegas is a gong show, Peg can't keep players. I guess Philly would fall under gong show too. I like Stevie's chances tbh.
-
Trotz. Get er done.
-
We need to fill that Savoie bandwagon. He'll fall to us because of his size, then become the next Brayden Point.
-
Hronek for #7 lmao. They do seem to lack intelligence over there.
-
You're totes gonna owe him. Nurse gonna get suspended lmao. Oilers gonna oiler.

Extend Bert for like 3 years then Bert for 2OA straight up. Devils wanna compete now. Give them Bert's prime years for the pick. If they don't like it, fine. They can just suck again.
-
Habs and Devils could very well win it again next year. The 5-year rule doesn't factor in any lottery wins before yesterday.

I'm pretty much in agreement with this. And because of the way he plays, I do not think his production is sustainable as he gets older. But someone got to pay the f*** up for him to get moved. Either a Mantha-level fleecing or getting a younger, high-end player in return. Obviously, the latter involves giving up more than just Bert. But Bert is probably a big enough piece to prevent having to give up a first-rounder.
-
Pray for Bedard or Michkov. That's what.
-
Yeah, moving Bert would have to be for a great haul. Otherwise, there is no point. On the flip side, his value will likely never be higher than it is now. Especially if border restrictions f*** off before next season.
-
I still think using Bert and something like a 2nd rounder in a 3 way deal to land Chychrun would be awesome. I love Bert, but do have concerns about his style of play in the longer term. Even just this season there was a huge difference pre and post-all-star game.

We'll have very few good, young players who still need to learn how to succeed at the NHL level combined with a whole lot of plugs to fill out the roster. I don't really see what is so unfair about that. At best Edvinsson comes in and is as good as Seider in his first year and we're closer to a .500 team. I'm not saying this roster is gonna regress next year. I simply think teams around them will also improve, and some will pass them in the standings. When looking at ROW and goal differential, this team is well in the bottom 5.

We're gonna be bad anyway, but yeah, new coach for sure. At least let's be competitive in losses. I do think we finish lower in the standings next year than this. But we flirt with playoffs the season after. I expect it to be Detroit, Arizona, Philly, and Chicago in the Bedard/Michkov sweepstakes.

It's a fun gong show to watch, that is for damn sure. All they had to do was let their young players develop. That was it. The clown show began with what they gave us for Tatar.
-
That team has done everything they could to get away from what made them successful, to begin with since that playoff run. It's wild to see. Killing teams with speed? Better bring in slow guys. Going through a small slump all teams experience? Better fire the coach and bring in a guy who has gotten nothing done anywhere. Absolute disaster in goalie treatment. They were poised to be good for a long time and they f***ed it all up.

I don't think a lottery win this year impacts things in any way tbh. I think we get our top 10 pick this year, whether it's 1/2 or not, and a top 10 pick next year. THEN the playoff push will begin. I would love to see a Chychrun trade though. But have it centered around a top 10 protected 2023 draft pick. Obviously, it would take a lot more than that, but we know for a fact a first-rounder has to be included. I still think a 3-way trade that involves us moving Bert would be a nice way of landing Chychrun that could allow the Wings to retain all first-round picks. I'm not one who wants to see Bert moved for the sake of it, but if the right opportunity presents itself...
-
Pretty much what I expect to see happen. One more year of stopgaps, one more high-end draft next summer, then times will be changin'. At that point not only will be there a deep, young core to lure UFAs, but there will be a s*** load of trade assets too. Not gonna see any big 7+ year deals this summer unless it's to lock up someone like Larkin.
-
If he can pull off one more 50 goal season he'll beat the record for most 50 goal seasons too
-
This one gets it. TV speakers are a crime.
-
Pick up assets from Calgary by taking on the Lucic contract.
-
Truth. The fact that this clown thinks I wanna see him around for a cheap 8-year deal is laughable. I wanna see him become someone else's problem. But hey, it's a guy whose every idea would lead this team to be stuck in permanent mediocrity. Zadina fits that mold quite well. Standards are falling in the fanbase.
-
Using TV speakers is a pretty big issue tbh

Salty boy once again can't handle my difference of opinion so has to make up his silly little stories. Grow up you ******* man child. Thank you for having common sense. Scott lacks that.
