Because a part of rebuilding is learning how to win. You don't do that by throwing all the kids in the lineup at once. That's hoe you get the Edmonton Oilers. And why would Holland put kids in over two players sitting in the press box every night? They get playing time in GR. Cleary and Andersson are doing great at keeping the press box warm. I definitely agree with having XO in the lineup. And that time will come sooner rather than later. But what happens if Kindl or Lashoff are dumped and we suddenly get a couple injuries on the blueline? Screwed, is what.

Yeah, I agree. My one gripe with Kindl is the fact that he is taking XO's spot. I get why Holland just can't waive him. As we still need depth in case of injuries. So really, get rid of Andersson. All we need is a roster spot, after all.

And who knows what happens at the trade deadline if the Wings keep going the way they have been. Can't see Holland not making a movie for a right handed dman if the team looks like a legit contender.

I don't understand how it is so difficult to get rid of Kindl. There are plenty of teams out there hurting on the blueline due to injuries right now. There has to be someone willing to take him for a low pick at this point to keep XO in the lineup.

They had a bad start. Even happens to the best teams from time to time. I think the Wings taking over the game and tying it up speaks more of where this team is than going down 4-1 to begin with. The last few years that comeback doesn't happen and the game ends in a blowout. Now this team has the skill, depth and confidence to do something about it.

The first period hasn't been kind to him, but the D was awful as well. The first goal NJ scored his helmet came off. Bad luck like that. But he has also came up huge. Wings showed they smartened up when killing a near 2 minute 5 on 3 to kill, and allowing just 1 shot.
