Nobody is saying they can't make it if they lose tonight. They are saying it is as unlikely as Cbus or Detroit having a Leaf-esque meltdown. not to mention Cbus and Detroit also hold the tiebreaker over the Leafs

With Detroit and Columbus with 2 games in hand. So yes, Toronto's hopes all but hinge on winning tonight. Their chances of getting in if they lose tonight are very slim. Mathematically they would be in it, but lets be realistic here.

Be freakin' huge if the Leafs lose tonight and we beat them tomorrow. Gotta take advantage of the fact it will be their second game of a back to back.

But you can blame that on having a lot of inexperience in the lineup. Opponents down by a goal or 2 and turn things up a notch or two? It will lead to rookies making mistakes. Not having guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg around in these situations hurt. But going forward, this team will be a lot better off for it. Even our team defense will be a lot better when you have world class players like Pasha and Hank helping out.

Makes since to keep the hottest goal scorer with him I agree the first line needs to start producing. But putting all the eggs in one basket is not the answer. Makes the team far too easy to shut down offensively.

Sheahan has been fantastic. Tatar has been struggling for sure.

I say keep Gus where he is for now, as it is working lol. I think it is a good call to put Jurco with Legwand and Mule instead. Combined with putting Alfie with Helm, it is now 3 lines that can generate something instead of just 1 or 2.
