Agreed on Legwand and Alfie, but not Gus. Nothing against him, but he can't stay healthy, and you'd have to think it will be time for Mrazek to be the backup starting next year. He has nothing left to prove in the AHL. It is time for him to star getting more ice time at the NHL level.

The big issue is that we have players coming and going so much we can't ice consistent lines. The few times we did, the team started playing real well until another player or two would get hurt, and the lines had to change again. It is insane how often the lines have had to change around. It is hard to play consistent hockey that way.

Face is itchy. Worth it

Most of their injuries have been on the blue line. Their best forwards have been healthy for the most part, and their D has been suspect even when healthy. They can get away with beating teams 6-5 in the regular season. If they lost the likes of Crosby, Malkin, Sutter, Neal and Kunitz all at once, it would be a different story.

This might be a blessing in disguise for Big Rig. He, Alfie and Kronwall were brutally overused during the olympics, and it has shown since they have ended. Alfie and Kronwall seem to be coming around, but if it just ends up being a couple weeks and the team can hang in there, It would be nice to have a rested E

It's a good thing the Rags have had the same record as us the last 10 games. Hopefully they continue to struggle, as the Caps, Sens, and Devils aren't playing any better. Games in hand on the teams around us (besides the Sens) is nice as well. For the love of God I hope there is good news about Dats in a week or so. Just getting him back would give the team a lot of confidence.

Bring in the 3 point system. Making a regulation win more valuable will make teams want to win in regulation, rather than suck the life out of the game to try and guarantee a point and then take a gamble in a shootout. That combined with Holland's idea for OT would significantly reduce the amount of shootouts we see. My guess would be by over half.
