What an awful call there

When it comes to Canada vs USA, yes. But when either of those teams play anyone else, it is quite one sided. But Canada vs USA in women's hockey is always a fantastic game. I'll admit, I get a lot more invested in the men's hockey. Not because I am sexist, but it's because it's mostly NHL players. It makes the men's tournament more special for that reason. If it were all amateurs in Men's Olympic hockey like it used to be, I wouldn't be as invested in it. I think that's all really anyone is getting at when talking about the Men's hockey here. I wouldn't say that was intentional. Would have been very unfortunate and a bad way to lose had thta puck gone in though.

I'm sure there are Canadian's who would be all over it if that were to happen. I wouldn't be one of them, as I think it is foolish. Which is why I poke fun at heckling (even though people keep taking me serious when I do). But Friday will be a dandy!

A horrible Latvia team? I guess you haven't been watching this game then. For an under matched team, they have played very well. I give full props to them, as this game has nothing to do with a lack of effort from Canada. But of course everyone will look at the final score and just laugh their asses off, which is typical. In the end, this game is good for Canada going forward (assuming they hold on). Keeps them battling to the bitter end, rather than get a giant lead and then coast their way to the semis. Try watching the game. Canada has played a near flawless game. All the credit goes to Latvia for giving it their all to not get scored on. Not to mention their goalie playing out of his mind. Canada has dominated, not struggled. Of course the score does not reflect that.

So how long before the Canada has no chance vs USA because of struggling vs Latvia posts?

I sure as hell haven't been around during Canada's games. But hey, USA is winning, so surely that must be why the rest of you are here by your logic.

It would be dumb. We need an epic Canada/USA showdown. There tournaments aren't the same without those two countries meeting.

It is on 9am in my neck of the woods. I'm gonna try to drag my ass out of bed for it (yay midterm break!)

For those saying Canada hasn't seen a team like USA yet. It's true! But USA hasn't played a team like Canada yet either. Don't give me that "but... but... Russia!!" crap. They haven't exactly been lighting it up this tournament either lol. Canada vs USA would be a HUGE test for both teams, not just one of them. Also, don't count out the teams that played today. They'll be ready to go at puck drop. Everyone else has been idle for a few days. The quarter finals is when the upsets happen!

Starting to look like Canada and USA are gonna have some tired opponents tomorrow lol
