If we got them back and in game shape, and then had Kronner/Ericsson, Smith/DeKeyser rounding out our bottom pairs. With the forwards we have, there would be no stopping the Wings en route to the cup. Better than the 2008 squad IMO

It;s understandable though. You could see him walking/skating today and you can tell his leg bothering him. It was amazing to see him in red and white again, and I will never fault him for not taking a go in the shootout. We have Homer for that anyway

Exactly. USA controlled the game early, they got the calls. Canada started to take over, they got the calls. Just the way hockey works. You rarely ever see the team controlling play take a penalty. I thought that was a well officiated game really. None of the penalties called had me rolling my eyes. They were all legit calls. Really hoping Canada and USA meet for the gold medal game. Be a lot of fun to watch.

Such an amazing time watching that. Probably the most fun I have ever had watching a game. So many emotions coming back. The only thing that could have made it any better would be seeing Stevie in the shootout. My guess is that Scotty asked him, and he turned it down. But hold crap when did Homer learn those moves?

In a 3 way tie with 9 points in 3 games yes. It's exciting. People used to knock on him saying he was playing the way he was playing because he is in a weaker league. Now he is playing with kids from the other leagues and is still putting up the numbers. He and Drouin complement each other very well. I also love how Mantha seems to take his game to another level when his team is down. He has been scoring some very timely goals in this tournament. Great to see.

It was Howie's first game in a while. It was not a good night for him, but I have faith he will get better. With players getting injured, and now players coming back, the line up is different from game to game. It's gonna take a few games to get going again, especially for those who are just coming back. It is frustrating to see, but I can understand that they aren't gonna play lights out hockey over night just because a few players are back. On the bright side, it was nice to see the team keep fighting back when they were down, rather than just give up like they did against the isles. There are positives to take out the game for sure. It's just a matter of being patient and give the guys a chance to get into a rhythm . It's one thing to have 1 or 2 players out, and then come back into the line up. It doesn't change the line up all that much. But when we were at a time with 8-9 guys out? It's gonna take a bit. They will slowly but surly get better. Bring on the Leafs!

Poor guy. Glad he isn't missing any time. I thought he has been much better as of late. Can't complain having a player like him in the bottom 6.

I like these pairings. They seem to have a lot more balance in each pairing. Would love to see it like this when E comes back, except move Smith down to play with Deke, and keep the top pairing as it has always been

Why not try being a fan and root for the team, instead of bashing them all game long?
