He has a goal and an assist for Team Canada so far in today's pre competition game VS Finland. Goal was a beautiful snipe, unassisted.

It also seems that he has been pretty much been playing hurt every since he missed a few games back in early November. That explains a lot really. I see this as a good thing. Give him the chance to get healthy, and come back and be the player he can be. A healthy Weiss makes this team that much better. The lines this team can roll having him as a productive second line center is kind of insane really.

False. Last season was their most impressive playoff run Since 2009. The team is under a huge transition. It will take time, but Babs is the man for the job. No question. Coaching doesn't solve growing pains for young players. Experience does. The team needs to get bigger, Holland has been drafting bigger players. How Holland gets so much flack with the kids this team has stock piled right now is baffling. He has prevented putting the team in cap hell, and has been building from within. People just have no patience. The bad contracts on the roster right now are short ones.

Yeah seems his back is good to go now, probably just needs the time to get back into game shape at this point and get some practice in. I read Franzen would be back after the xmas break, and that Helm was shooting for a return around the same time as Hank. Fingers crossed!

On the bright side, I just read that Holland confirmed Hank will be good to go for sure come Dec 28 Also that Deke might play Saturday. IT's definitely looking like most of the team will be back in time for the classic though. *knocks on wood*

I chalk that up to new people in the lineup really. It's hard to judge a team in just the first month of the season. The way they were playing before Z went down IMO is a better judge of what this team can be when healthy. It's frustrating now, but I think the team will be better for it come playoff time. Thank goodness we're in the East is all I can say lol

Rest of the series? This was a regular season game in February where Lidstrom got hurt against the Avs.

The west is just scary. Has been for a while, but even more so this year. Can't imagine what the doom and gloom would be like in these forums if the Wings were over there and on the outside looking in lol
