Who are we all kidding anyway? Even if the Wings do win the cup this year, mindfly would still find something to complain about. Not that they will anyway seeing how they are gonna last no longer than 5 games against Chicago in round one.

You make it sound as if we are fine in the playoffs as long as we don't play Chicago. Well s***, if they are so good and we are fine as long as we don't play them, we will eventually have to play them anyway. Whether it is in round 1, 2 or 3, it does not matter. Detroit CAN beat them. Not saying they will, but to say it will be a quick exit for the Wings if they play Chicago is just ridiculous. Even in the 2001/2002 we've lost games here and there, and sucked during the end of the season. Doesn't matter how good a team is, they are going to lose games. If you are expecting a dominate performance every game and are mad for 24 hours after every time they lose, then you have issues.

Wings get the sharks in the first round, because phoenix wins that division. Wings beat the Sharks. Wings play the Blackhawks in either round 2 or 3 (preferably 3) and have an epic 7 game series in OT where the Wings win it on a huge Hossa mistake. Haha. Wings vs Pens round 3 in the finals, where this time we sweep them and win the cup on home ice, and Howie gets the Conn Smythe.

I have no idea what his role as defensive coach would specifically be, but I would imagine it was last years potent offense that killed our defense last year rather than him. Everything seems to be going just fine these days.

I personally think American and Canadian fans are both being retarded. There is nothing to brag about until a medal is won, and nobody won jack s*** yet. I want to see Canada win gold, and I want to see them go through the States to get it. But until then, I'm just gonna keep on enjoying the awesome hockey.
