I would imagine that if Howard doesn't do much to impress this upcoming season, that Holland would try and land an insurance veteran goalie at the trade deadline just incase an Ozzie injury does happen.

I'm gonna be drinking on the job, I really don't care (luckily, I work at a bar). I will be pacing around a lot, and a nervous wreck. I already posted on facebook a few hours ago asking if anyone has a spare defibrillator I can borrow incase the game goes into overtime lol. I'm nervous as hell now, I can't imagine how bad I'll be Friday night.

I'm confident the Wings will win game 5. Games 1 and 2 I had to work, so I watched the games at work with a TV on mute. Wings won. Games 3 and 4 I was off and drank. Wings lost. Game 5, I had to work. Wings won. Game 6 I was off and drank. Wings lost. Game 7, I have to work. My question is, during all the games I've worked, I did not wear my jersey. The games I was off, I wore my jersey. Should I wear my jersey to work Friday night? I don;t want to jinx the team, because in the finals every game I've worn it, I was off work and they lost. But at the same time, it's game 7 and I wanna represent!! Decisions, decisions!

but at least there will be coverage starting at 8:00 to hold us all over! I have to wait till 9:30 for the coverage to start. Boo Newfoundland time!! But at least the cup should be coming here this summer

I wish I was a good student like that! I'm skipping my Stats exam to get drunk and watch the game :/ Can't wait till tomorrow night is over with so I can focus on school again!!!!! (with the exception of going to Harbor Grace this summer to see Cleary and the cup!)

If Detroit wins, it almost has to go to Ozzie. Although I really wouldn't be surprised to see them giving it to Malkin just because. Personally I want to see Ozzie get it more than anybody, just for the fact that he never gets any credit what so ever. He has been fantasic, and the Wings would not have gotten this far without him. Certianly a far cry from being the weak link he was pegged as at the start of the post season. OZZIE!!!

Agreed. An injured foot is MUCH different than an injured knee. I often have tendonitis flare up in either my left knee, or right foot. Sometimes both. If I was able to get rid of just one of them, it would be the foot hands down. It's much easier to suffer through a bad knee than it is a bad foot. It's night and day between the two in my opinion.

I'd say the only positive I can take from this game, is that with the series now being tied, you'd have to really think that Datsyuk MUST be playing Saturday night. Bad foot or not, it's now or never. It's not like there is anything to save him for now. There are 2 or 3 games left to this season. Suffer it out, heal up over the summer. I know it is easy for me to say it when I'm not the one with a bad foot, but he is needed now more than ever.

Going back to the Mellon for game 6, we will definitely need Dats back. But as long as they can tighten up defensively, stop with all the turnovers, and kill a penalty every once and a while they'll be fine. Having the Kronwall and Stuart we saw in the Chicago series would be swell as well, of course.
