I'd say keep them all and see who impresses most after camp. Lilja is as good as gone. We don't need him anymore, and he probably wants to test the market anyway after holding out on the contract offer from Holland. But when it comes down to it, Ericsson can play in GR another season, one of Quincey/Lebda/Chelios can be a 7th Dman at any given time, and Meech can be a depth forward or defensemen. But yes, I say keep them all. Once the trading can start druing the season, they can trade whoever is most expendable. He'll, they can trade 2 of them if they want Ericsson to be called up bad enough. If one HAS to be traded, Meech it is I think. I wouldn't mind seeing Holland offer up one or two of them along with our first round pick to try and move up in the draft. There are a lot of teams desperate for good puck moving defensemen out there, and Meech has potential (Like how he stepped it up when Lids, Rafalski, and Kronwall were all out at once). There could be someone in the league willing enough to give up their first pick for our first pick and an NHL ready Dman with lots of potential. Its gonna be interesting to see what happens though. But if they really want to, they can keep everybody. I just don't expect many defense to be drafted this year though with Kindl AND Smith coming up down the road as well.

I would really love to see a Kopecky/Helm/Abdelkader line. I think those 3 could produce engery by the assloads and contribute offensively pretty regularly, but I dont see it happening this season unless the injury bug hits us again :/ Dats/Hank/Homer Flip/Mule/Hudler or Sammy Cleary/Drapes/Malts Kopecky/Helm/Hudler or Sammy DMac/Downey Lids/Rafalski Stuart/Kronner Lebda/Ericsson Chelios/Quincey Ozzie Howard

well, with all the depth in defense we do have, maybe this year we trade up in the draft to try and get a higher pick. it couldnt hurt with all the depth we have to try and draft a good forward in the first round

it has been such a great season. i really love these forums. in the town i live in, there are pretty well no wings fans, cept the occasional bandwagoner that comes out fo the woods when they make the finals. but coming here there are so many other great wings fans and it is awesome!!! i cannot wait until september!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i will still totally be sticking around here all summer long, and i will be making the drive to harbor grace when cleary brings home the cup!! WOOT!!!

Dmac was great for us as a depth guy. give him a summer to keep in shape, a full training camp, and an entire season to keep up to speed, and id say he has lots left in the tank. Get er done kenny!!!!!

this has most def been my favorite cup victory. WOW!! I still cant believe it, and i still cant sleep!!!!!!!!!!! as great as this team is now, i think by fall they will be even better!! we will be younger, and all the kids that got to be part of the celebration tonight are gonna want to battle through themselves now, and it should motivate them THAT much more!!! but OMG im still so happy!!!!!!!! i wqatched my dvr of the end of the game like 5 times. incredible! i should try to sleep now, but before i do, i must say i really hope Behind Enemy Lines is doing good, and I hope he knows that WE ARE THE CHAMPS!!! cant wait to see him post here again! but anyways, its been an incredible night, and an incredible season. GOOD NIGHT/MORNING ALL!!!

he's only ever played bad when everyone was injured in february. he and lilja were the top 2 dmen, and he was just trying to do too much thats all. it took hima few weeks to recover from that. but if he keeps things simple for now, he can develop more skill overtime and be a real good all around dman some day

IF the Caps can resign Feds and Huet, I'm calling a Wings/Caps finals, and Wings in 5. If the Caps don't keep those guys, then Wings vs Habs. I don't see anyone in the West topping us next year. We are only gonna keep getting better from here. Franzen will be a beast all year round, Sammy has been spectacular the last few games.... wow. Hudler broke out in the playoffs, Flip keeps on impressing. Helm will be eve better next year. I see Kopecky taking the next step in his career, and I think we will see Ericsson crack our lineup and continue to impress. Can't WAIT for the 08/09 season!! GO WINGS!!!

I agree. For me it was probably the worse loss I have ever witnessed, and the hardest EVER to take, far worse than game 6 last year vs the Ducks. At least that game it seemed over rather early. But last night when we went up 3-2. I said to my buddies, "Thats it. The cup is coming home tonight". Then all those "WE WANT THE CUP" chants for me so giddy and I was so excited. Then they showed the cup being buffed up and I was like HOLY s***!!!!! :D:D:D:D. Then when the game got tied I was like oh. my. god. And I to got a VERY sick feeling in my stomach in the 3rd OT. I've still felt down all day today. I just can't seem to shake it at all.

Awesome. I guess that means I have to start playing again. It's been a couple months now. Time to work off the rust!! lol

he wont ref game 6, but he will ref game 7 if it comes down to it. im not one to complain about officiating (cept when we have good goals waved off), but my god..... tonight was brutal. I knew it was gonna be a bad night for it when the wings got a pentaly in the 1st period when the pens player FELL

Oh I know, its a *****. I dunno how many games in my season i had to redo because of the freezing. I just started saving after every game. and when im in the mood to play, i boot the game up, and leave it running untouched for 20 minutes or so. that seems to help to avoid the freeze. well, it does for me anyway. not to mention my 3s***ty is an insanely loud piece of s***
