I don't think it would be. They'd come out flying in the first couple games, but after that I'd say they'd get pretty tired and we'd get by them without too much trouble. STAT: no team who has gone 7 games in both the first 2 rounds has ever gotten by the conference finals. And it is quite obvious it is because the wear and tear of that many games at the halfway point is just too tiriing on any team to bear. Just think back to the blowout in game 7 vs the Avs in 2002. By that game, they had nothing left in the tank, no matter how bad they may have wanted it.

I REALLY hope the Flyers beat out the Pens. If the Pens play us in the finals, we will get the same treatment the Rags are getting now.

I switched to the Canada vs Latvia game.... I'm too turned form the Pens game. I'm sick f the refs siding with them. The no call on Drury bleeding all over the ice, and penalty after penalty against the rags. f*** it. I wish someone would go all pronger/simon/tootoo on Crosby. I think the 3rd round will start like the 2nd round did for us last year. We probably will be slightly rusty in game 1, and whoever we play will be balls out do to having just finished a wild series. But as the series goes on, the Wings will keep getting better and better while our opponent will get tired. Let's just hope for 7 games for the stars and sharks

I totally agree with you there. Sammy has been great in the series vs Colorado, and has been playing very well with Franzen and Flip. He is even starting to look good on the point of our 2nd PP unit. I say we will certainly see Maltby soon, and unless someones play really drops, it will probably be Helm he replaces. Helm has been great, no doubt, but the Conf. finals is gonna be much more of a battle than the first 2 rounds have been and Maltby's experience will be needed. It's not like he won't have much time to practice with whatever line anyway.
