Ottawa needs to stop playing like they feel sorry for themselves and get their heads in the game. Even without their captain, they can play better than this. I also won't be suprised to see Emery in this series before it is over. At least he has been to the dance before and can step up his game if he wants to. Maybe that would get the team playing infront of them. Seeing Gerber let in the first shot of the game doesn't help morale much.

Boston would have to eliminate Montreal for that to be the second round. I'd say its a probable conference finals though, unless the Caps go on a crazy run.

The Chelios and Rafalski injuries were also mentioned on the TSN playoff preview show, about one having a sore groin and the other with a sore neck, so I'd say there definitely is some truth to that although it doesn't seem to be anything major.

I just think it's real stupid, because at the start of the season he had us pegged to win the cup, hands down. I find it foolish how a lot of these "experts" just jump on the hot teams bandwagon all the time.

I am hoping we have a caps vs habs first round, and that Huet steals the show and the caps move on to show Bob Gainey what a stubborn risk trading Huet was. That, and in the town I live in, there are all these bandwagon hab fans coming out of the woods. Really annoying, they are more obnoxious than most Leaf fans

I wouldn't even say our goaltending cost us last year. Our goaltending was plenty good enough to go all the way. It's the key injuries to our defense that hurt us, causing us not to be able to score on those 5-on-3's we had vs the Ducks. If we even had just Schneider, I think we would have gotten to meet the Sens in the finals.
